Create more night tourism products
Entering the 2024 tourism year, Cua Lo town will have many new highlights. One of them is that many localities are shifting to a "night economy ". Specifically, the coastal town will have an additional night street in Nghi Thu ward, next to the night street - walking street on Nguyen Sinh Cung street that has been organized in recent years.
According to the construction project approved by Cua Lo town, the scale of Nguyen Hue night street - Nghi Thu ward is the entire Nguyen Hue street from the intersection with Sao Nam street to the intersection with Nguyen Nang Tinh street; the entire Nguyen Nang Tinh street from the intersection with Le Thai Tong street (the intersection near Thu Thuy seafood market) to residential area block 2, Nghi Thu ward; the town stadium park (excluding the stadium)...
In particular, the night market will take the city stadium park area and Nguyen Hue street as the central space. Services located in the city stadium park area and Nguyen Hue street area will operate all days of the week, day and night (24/24 hours).
In addition, Nghi Thu ward will build the area of Nguyen Hue street (from the intersection with Sao Nam street to the intersection with Nguyen Nang Tinh street) into a night walking street called "Nguyen Hue walking street". The expected operating time of Nguyen Hue walking street is every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday evening (from 6:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m. the next morning).
Types of services arranged in Nguyen Hue night market - Nghi Thu ward include: Food and beverage services (street food, food associated with local OCOP products); entertainment and sports services (pubs, music cafes, street music; electric cars, bicycles, folk games, electronic games); shopping services (selling souvenirs, local specialties and other tourist products); cultural and artistic services (festivals, music concerts, street parades, light festivals, street dances, music programs gathering famous artists...).
Mr. Cao Anh Hung - Chairman of Nghi Thu Ward People's Committee said: Nghi Thu Ward is dredging ditches, building decorative lighting systems and welcome gates, check-in points for Nguyen Hue night street. It is expected that by April 20, 2024, Nguyen Hue night street will allow people to do business and "open" to welcome tourists...
It can be said that the trend of participating in and consuming night tourism products has become a trend that is favored by tourists, especially young people and international visitors. The establishment of a night town in Nghi Thu ward will take full advantage of the local advantages; be both an economic and cultural driving force; help increase employment and income for workers; create excitement to attract tourists; promote tourism development in the town.
It is known that not only Nghi Thu ward but also some other localities in Cua Lo town have been promoting the formation of night tourism products (on a smaller scale). Mr. Nguyen Thanh Tung - Vice Chairman of Nghi Thuy Ward People's Committee, said: The ward has mobilized 200 million VND from the community to build a lighting system for the road to the sea in the North of Lan Chau island - South of the Golden City project. Nghi Thuy will build a walking area here, gradually forming a night shopping and experience area. In addition to mobile stalls, the ward also asked households doing business at Hom market to come out and do business at night.
High-class entertainment area, beautiful check-in spot
In the 2024 tourism year, Cua Lo will truly be an extremely attractive destination when the Cua Hoi Amusement Park Project (invested by Vinpearl Joint Stock Company) is completed and opened to welcome visitors... The Cua Hoi Amusement Park Project was granted an investment certificate by the People's Committee of Nghe An province on December 3, 2019. The project has a scale of 195.5 hectares (located in Nghi Hoa and Nghi Hai wards), with a total investment of nearly 4,000 billion VND.
Cua Hoi entertainment area has a similar model to Vinpearl Nha Trang, divided into 8 functional sub-areas, including a cable car route over the sea with a length of more than 3.5km to Ngu Island; a culinary service area including a street and night market; a water park; an entertainment area; a beach sports area; a mountain climbing slide around Ngu Island; a beach on Ngu Island; a culinary restaurant; a 5-star hotel... At this time, the project is being urgently completed. By April 30, 2024, the entertainment area will open, put into operation, and serve tourists.
This year, Cua Lo tourism will have many new and beautiful check-in spots. Besides the familiar check-in spots such as Lan Chau peninsula, Binh Minh Square, fishing port, Cua Hoi bridge..., Cua Lo town has built some new check-in spots such as Nghi Thuy fishing village, sea daisy conservation area...
Recently, on March 1, the Organizing Committee of the Sea Daisy Festival in Cua Lo town launched the contest "Decorating sea daisy check-in points" in 2024 with the theme "Cua Lo sea daisy - Gift of nature". Accordingly, businesses, hotels, and 7 wards in the area must build and decorate a check-in point associated with this theme. The contest aims to honor the beauty of the typical flower, a tourism symbol of Cua Lo coastal tourist town. This is also the kick-off activity for Cua Lo tourism year 2024...
In recent times, implementing the Project "Improving the quality of tourist accommodation facilities and restaurants in Cua Lo town, period 2021 - 2025", hotels and motels in the area have continuously invested, renovated and upgraded to ensure modern facilities and full amenities according to regulations. Along with that, many businesses and business households in the area have changed their business models, built homestays, bungalows, garden cafes, etc. to enhance the accommodation experience for tourists.
Minh Chau Cua Lo Hotel is one of the units that has "spent a lot" renovating its room facilities. Mr. Nguyen Dam Thang - Hotel Director, shared: In preparation for the 2024 tourism year, the hotel has invested in upgrading and repairing for 5 months, with a total investment of over 6.5 billion VND. Currently, the hotel has increased the total number of rooms to 72 with 3 restaurants serving 300 guests... Employees working at the hotel are trained, fostered, and coached to improve their professional skills and service attitude.
In 2024, Cua Lo aims to welcome and serve 4.15 million tourists, of which 1.45 million will be overnight visitors; tourism revenue will reach 4,200 billion VND. To achieve this goal, Cua Lo town has identified key tasks and solutions including: Strengthening tourism promotion and communication; continuing urban planning and beautification; paying attention to environmental sanitation, food safety and hygiene, and epidemic prevention and control; ensuring security, order and safety for tourists; building and renewing tourism products, etc.
Currently, Cua Lo is continuing the series of activities of the Sea Daisy Festival (from March 23, 2024) such as the contest "Elegant Cua Lo Young Women 2024"; the contest "Decorating Sea Daisy Check-in Points"; the contest for good electric car driving...; building a concentrated shopping area and experience in Nghi Thuy fishing village. Other infrastructure and urban renovation projects are also being urgently completed./.
