Remember back in the "say hi" show, OgeNus was highly sought after by many male contestants who wanted to join their team thanks to his songwriting and music production skills. While he may not have achieved a very high ranking throughout the competition, his production abilities were a major advantage that earned him recognition from his peers.

And OgeNus is once again shining with a song he composed himself. His song "Recruiting a Girlfriend," released on April 28th, has garnered 3.4 million views in about half a month since its release.

Thanks to their recently released MV "Recruiting a Girlfriend ," OgeNus is making steady progress after leaving "Brother 'Say Hi." The MV was released on April 28th. What's noteworthy about this project is the appearance of Ciin – OgeNus's rumored girlfriend. Ciin's participation in this project further solidifies public belief that the two are dating. OgeNus's latest product has a youthful melody and has attracted over 90,000 views in about 13 hours since its release.

However, beyond the initial attention garnered by Ciin's appearance, "Recruiting a Girlfriend" subsequently went viral on social media thanks to its cheerful, youthful, and slightly playful chorus – true to OgeNus's signature style.

After about two weeks since its release, the music video for "Tuyển bạn gái" (Recruiting a Girlfriend) has garnered over 3.4 million views on YouTube. While this achievement isn't exactly explosive in the fiercely competitive Vietnamese music market, it's enough to demonstrate OgeNus's consistent appeal, especially as the song is spreading rapidly across short -video platforms.

In particular, the song's viral spread on social media, especially on short-video platforms, shows it has the potential to become the next hit in Vietnamese music.

“ Hey guys, we’re looking for girlfriends… ” quickly became a widely used song. Thousands of accounts used it as background music for dance videos, acting, or everyday entertainment content. By mid-May, more than 9,000 videos had used this song. The viral effect was further amplified when the South Korean boy band TEMPEST also used the song in a video posted on social media. By May 15th, their video had reached 2.4 million views in about three days.

Once considered a highly sought-after "strategic asset" in the "Brother Says Hi" competition, OgeNus is making remarkable progress after the show thanks to his self-composed song. The 1997-born singer has created a positive impact on social media by leveraging his strengths: youthful, catchy music that keeps up with trends.

Notably, the song not only sparked curiosity upon its release due to the appearance of Ciin – who was rumored to be dating OgeNus – but also maintained its popularity thanks to its catchy chorus and relatable, memorable lyrics. This is a familiar formula in many of the male singer's previous works.

A common thread in OgeNus's music is an approach that is easy to listen to, youthful, yet still polished in structure and arrangement. The male singer doesn't chase overly complex concepts but focuses on catchy melodies that appeal to young audiences and social media platforms.

The beginning of OgeNus

OgeNus, whose real name is Nguyen Tuan Duy, was born in 1997 and spent about 18 months as a trainee at the South Korean entertainment company FNC Entertainment. This company manages many famous groups such as FT Island, CNBLUE, AOA, N.Flying, SF9, Cherry Bullet, etc. Emerging from one of South Korea's renowned "training grounds," OgeNus stands out for his performance skills and songwriting abilities. He also possesses a youthful, modern approach to music, easily appealing to younger audiences.

His training in the Korean entertainment industry helped OgeNus quickly develop a modern performance style. After returning to Vietnam, he became more widely known through Rap Viet Season 3.

After leaving his management company and returning to his home country, he became known through the third season of Rap Viet. In this program, OgeNus revealed his songwriting mindset, even though his style might be quite different from the edgy, rugged appearance often seen in rappers.

"Nắng" had a rock feel, humorous and witty flirtatious lyrics, smooth rhymes, and a confident performance. His performance of "Nàng của anh" (My Girl) currently has over 11 million views, while many other songs like "Đa nghi" (Suspicion ) and "Không yêu đến thế đâu" (Not Loving to That Much) have also attracted millions of listens.

Later, the male singer continued his musical career by releasing several solo products such as "After Last Night," "Making Love ," and the album "Time ." Among them, the music video "Suspicion" garnered over 6 million views after about a year of being uploaded, while "Not Loving That Much " received over 4.7 million views… His musical products all share a common style: youthful, easy-to-listen-to, and catchy music, thus attracting a certain number of listeners.

Building on that foundation, the rapper recently participated in the second season of "Brother Say Hi." OgeNus's ranking in the show wasn't high, and he only made it to the top 18.

In the "Say Hi" competition, OgeNus was always highly regarded by his teammates for his songwriting and production skills. In many rounds, OgeNus played a key role in developing the musical style of the entire group. The fact that he once faced the risk of elimination even made BigDaddy cry with regret.
