Nam Giang strives to disburse 90% of the capital for 3 national target programs.

According to the People's Committee of Nam Giang district, the total capital allocated to implement the three national target programs in the area currently stands at 409.5 billion VND, an increase of over 46.5 billion VND compared to the first nine months of the year.

Specifically, the increase was due to the province allocating an additional 38.9 billion VND for the maintenance and repair of infrastructure (Project 4) and 5 billion VND to support medicinal plant cultivation areas, under the National Target Program for socio -economic development in ethnic minority and mountainous regions. An additional 648 million VND was allocated to support housing for poor households, under Project 5 of the National Target Program for sustainable poverty reduction; the district budget allocated nearly 2 billion VND in matching funds.

To date, the district has allocated over 404.7/409.5 billion VND (over 98.8%) to agencies, units, and localities. As of November 22, 2024, the entire district has disbursed over 215.9 billion VND (over 52.7%) of the capital for the three programs. Of this, investment capital accounts for nearly 113.9 billion VND (nearly 57.7%), and recurrent expenditure capital accounts for over 102.1 billion VND (over 48.1%).

Nam Giang district is striving to disburse over 368.5 billion VND (90%) of the capital for 3 national target programs by December 31, 2024. This includes 30.5 billion VND for new rural development, 121.9 billion VND for sustainable poverty reduction, and 216.1 billion VND for socio-economic development in ethnic minority and mountainous areas.

To achieve the disbursement plan, the People's Committee of Nam Giang district will implement various solutions such as organizing meetings and direct dialogues with underperforming contractors to resolve difficulties and obstacles. They will continue to request contractors to commit to developing construction progress plans and disbursing funds; and to fulfilling their commitments to ensure the progress, quantity, and quality of construction projects.

Organize monthly and ad hoc investment work meetings, and provide weekly quick reports on the implementation and disbursement of funds. Focus on resolving all projects facing compensation and land clearance issues once new guiding documents are available.

The district stated that it will also urgently work with provincial departments and agencies to resolve some difficulties and obstacles in the process of submitting for appraisal and approval of investment projects, planning, and contractor selection... in order to implement projects that are still facing problems.
