Mr. Nguyen Van Than, former Chairman of the Vinh Thuan District Education Promotion Association, and other association officials from the provincial to the grassroots level have strived to care for poor students so that they have the opportunity to continue their education and pursue their dreams. After retiring, Mr. Than worked at the Vinh Thuan District Education Promotion Association from 2020 until the unit was dissolved. With a high sense of responsibility, he studied documents and learned from effective education promotion models in the locality to adjust and apply them to suit the actual conditions. According to Mr. Than, to effectively support students, close coordination with agencies, departments, organizations, especially schools and philanthropists is necessary. "I and the association officials regularly maintain contact with schools. When students face difficulties, the school informs the Association so that timely support can be provided. Students who lack books, school supplies, or need tuition support… are all supported promptly and according to their needs," Mr. Than said.

One of the outstanding examples in promoting education in the province is Ms. Doan Thi Kim Do, former Chairwoman of the Rach Gia City Education Promotion Association. With the motto "Transparency and targeting the right beneficiaries," she carefully surveys each case before proposing support or soliciting donations from benefactors. Mr. Duong Van Truong, a resident of Rach Gia ward, recounted: "From the survey to the handover of the Education Promotion house to my family, it only took a little over a month, but Ms. Do visited every day to update on the construction progress. She also brought gifts and snacks for my children; and mobilized benefactors to donate study desks, rice, and furniture for my family."

According to Ms. Do, to do a good job in promoting education, it is important to have "dedication and a thorough understanding of the local area." She prioritizes supporting students in suburban areas, where many households are still poor. Not only is she dedicated to the students, but Ms. Do also cares about the association's staff – those who play a "key" role in promoting education. During holidays and Tet (Lunar New Year), she mobilizes gifts for the association's staff to boost their morale, create a sense of unity, and promote the widespread development of the education promotion movement.

Having dedicated 20 years to the education sector, Ms. Nguyen Thi Tuyet Minh, Chairwoman of the Vinh Thuan Commune Education Promotion Association, devotes her heart entirely to underprivileged students. In this remote and disadvantaged area, fundraising is limited, so Ms. Minh and several other association officials contribute a portion of their pensions to support these students. “I encourage everyone to donate a day's salary or a week's pension to help poor students. Although the amount isn't large, it's a sincere act of sharing, giving them more motivation to go to school. I hope that civil servants, employees, and workers in the locality will also participate in helping underprivileged students,” Ms. Minh shared.

With their compassion and dedication, the officials of the Association for the Promotion of Learning in the province have contributed to sowing seeds of hope and paving the way to the future for many generations of students. They are the ones who quietly keep the flame of learning burning in impoverished homes.
