The Provincial Political School plays an important role in training, fostering and consolidating political theory for cadres and Party members, making a solid contribution to the work of protecting the Party's ideological foundation. During the training process, the school always focuses on combining theory with practice, systematically and scientifically conveying the core contents of Marxism-Leninism, Ho Chi Minh Thought, along with the Party's guidelines and policies, and the State's policies and laws. From the school's training courses, many cadres and party members have matured and become the core force in the grassroots political system. In the current context, reactionary forces are aggressively attacking the Party's ideological foundation through social networks, the Internet and many other sophisticated methods. Therefore, improving political capacity, the ability to identify and fight against erroneous and hostile viewpoints has become an urgent requirement. Along with the training of political theory, the school also opened a column "Protecting the Party's ideological foundation" on the website of Dong Thap Provincial Political School to share good articles on the work of protecting the ideological foundation. Mobilizing cadres, civil servants, lecturers of the school and students of Intermediate Political Theory classes to actively participate in the Political Essay Contest on protecting the Party's ideological foundation launched by the province and the Central Government.
