Enhancing digital literacy for children in the era of Industry 4.0

(People's life) - Team activities in the form of digital transformation (Digital Team) is a new model launched by the Central Team Council, encouraging the Teams to organize and guide children to participate in learning and discovery experiences. Students experience Team activities

Team activities in the form of digital transformation are an initiative of the Central Team Council. Digital Team activities are organized to raise awareness and guide students in schools to exploit and use information on the Internet, use social networks and other forms of media in accordance with regulations, serving research, study, and entertainment in a healthy, practical and safe way. Students are instructed on the minimum skills needed to use the Internet safely; know how to exploit and use electronic newspapers, social networks and other forms of media in the education sector and the Youth Union, Ho Chi Minh Young Pioneers, and Internet competitions, helping students use information on the Internet in a healthy, useful and highly effective way.

Students are excited to learn about the first 5 members of the Ho Chi Minh Young Pioneers Team through the digital platform.

The program provides students with an open space, where they can access official information sources, learn about the Team organization through digitized documents such as storybooks about the first 5 Team members, and participate in transforming into one of the five characters performing communication. Students are given an account and password to access the Team's Digital Activities at the branch level, participate in answering questions to learn about the Team through fun game quizzes, giving them an interesting experience and easier-to-remember exploration of the Team's history. In 2023, the Team's Digital Activities will be held in 10 provinces and cities across the country.

The Hoang Hoa Tham Secondary School, Bac Giang City is one of the schools participating in the Digital Team Activity experience. Some activities were organized under the flag on a digital platform with 100% of the Team members participating in the stages: Collective activities under the flag; each team member participated in a personalized digital game and finally organized a team activity through a digital team activity. The team members learned about the first 5 team members of the Ho Chi Minh Young Pioneers Team through a digital platform. They also participated in a personalized digital game. The digital game recreated the journey of communication and guidance for revolutionary cadres of the first 5 team members of the Team organization. For the first time, the team members learned about the history of the Ho Chi Minh Young Pioneers Team through an attractive digital game. With the spirit of learning while playing, playing while learning, the team members participated in the Digital Team activity with enthusiasm and excitement. This will be the first step for future team activities.

Priority is given to disadvantaged children who do not have smart devices.

The Moc Ly Primary School Union, Moc Chau District (Son La) implemented the pilot program of Digital Team Activities for 364 Team members of the school. At the same time, it launched the project "For beloved juniors" for the 2023-2024 school year and the "Smart Team Member Handbook" project. When coming here, children can participate in the experience of Digital Team Activities, especially those in difficult circumstances who do not have smart devices at home so that they can access and learn to use smart electronic devices. In addition, children can read reference books and knowledge about the Ho Chi Minh Young Pioneers (HNTP HCM) and other general knowledge or scan the QR code to learn knowledge through the "Smart Team Member Handbook" project or "Discover Moc Chau through the window with me" to learn and explore Moc Chau, the world's leading natural destination.

The Union strives to organize useful activities to guide children to participate in the Digital Team Activities program to bring digital transformation into the activities of the Union to contribute to improving digital capacity for children in the era of technology 4.0. In order to carry out all of these contents well, the Union always receives special attention and facilitation from the Party Cell, the Board of Directors, the Information Technology Application and Digital Transformation Department, and the school's teachers, so the activities are always organized creatively and effectively, and the children's capacity is developed comprehensively.

When participating in experiencing this new space, Lo To Nhu, class 5A2 (a student sponsored by the school's teachers) shared: I feel very happy after each class to come here with my friends to experience Digital Team Activities, to be guided to learn knowledge through reading corners, "Discover Moc Chau through the number box" corner, "Smart Team Member Handbook". I am really excited to be able to get acquainted with computers and smart devices when coming to the reading space and Digital Team Activities here. My family is poor so I don't have a computer like my friends, having this space makes me feel really happy going to school! I dream that I will also have a computer to study and participate in exploring and experiencing like my friends.

Ms. Pham Thi Hue - Secretary of the Party Cell, Principal of Moc Ly Primary School said: after Ms. Do Thu Thao, the school's Team Leader, gave her the idea and wish to build a meaningful space for students outside of school hours to read books and experience digital content of the Union, the Party Cell and the school's Board of Directors agreed and created conditions for the Union to carry out, because this is a meaningful and humane project, and at the same time, it also contributes to effectively improving the digital capacity of the school's students.
