In the digital age and with the rapid development of artificial intelligence (AI), young people are presented with many opportunities for development, but also face numerous challenges. Leveraging the pioneering role of youth, the Youth Union of Party organizations in the province has proactively innovated the content and methods of education, promoting revolutionary ideals, ethics, and a beautiful lifestyle for young people, and combating false and hostile viewpoints on the internet through various creative, practical, and effective approaches.

In recent years, the internet and social media have become an inseparable part of young people's lives. From online learning and information searching to entertainment and social interaction, most daily activities are connected to the digital environment. Thanks to this, young people have faster access to knowledge, expanded opportunities for self-development, and deeper participation in social life. However, along with these benefits come a series of potential risks. Online scams are becoming increasingly sophisticated, and fake news, especially harmful and toxic information, spreads rapidly. Today's young generation in general, and the youth of the Party's Party organizations in the province (Youth Union of the Party's Party organizations) in particular, with their modern thinking, high level of education, and ability to access information quickly, are the force with the greatest potential to identify, critique, and refute hostile narratives with a scientific spirit, sharp reasoning, and practical experience.

Ideological attacks are no longer just a traditional war, but a silent war in cyberspace, where hostile forces exploit technology to distort and undermine the policies and guidelines of our Party and State. Hostile forces are intensifying their "peaceful evolution" strategy and increasing their subversive activities in the digital environment. Therefore, strengthening the cultivation of resilience, consolidating ideological resistance, and improving the ability to identify misinformation is a crucial task for the youth of the Party's Youth Union, contributing to the effective protection of the Party's ideological foundation in the new situation.

Ms. Luong Thi Hoa, Deputy Secretary in charge of the Youth Union, said: 100% of the Youth Union branches under the Youth Union have established and maintained Fanpages to propagate and educate young people on revolutionary ideals with many sharp news articles, combating rumors and distorted narratives of hostile forces. The Youth Union branches regularly disseminate the guidelines, policies, and laws of the Party and State in a visual and lively way; implementing the campaign "One good news story every day, one beautiful story every week" with the motto of promoting the good and suppressing the bad in a regular and effective manner.

As the administrator of the website and digital content on the Fanpages of Son La Newspaper and the Son La Provincial Information and Communication Department, Mr. Hoang Bao Khanh is always aware that a solid foundation of political and historical knowledge is essential to refute distorted narratives. Mr. Khanh shared: "I regularly monitor activities on the internet, online newspapers, and social media pages of the agency, unit, and youth union. For false news and articles related to the political, security, and defense situation of the nation and locality, I report to my superiors and advise on the implementation of timely measures to prevent the leakage and dissemination of harmful information on the internet."

The role of the Youth Union is demonstrated through disseminating and explaining correctly and clearly the Party's ideas, policies, and guidelines to all strata of the people, especially to young people; encouraging young people to proactively and actively participate in preventing and combating activities that undermine the Party's ideological foundation by hostile forces.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Ngoc Quynh, Deputy Secretary of the Youth Union of the Provincial Political School, shared: "It's not just about 'receiving ideology,' today's young generation also plays the role of 'creating ideology,' proactively researching, explaining, communicating, and spreading the core values ​​of the Party's ideological foundation in a way that is relatable, persuasive, and timely. Given the nature of our professional work, we require our Youth Union members to use social media to disseminate official information, promote positive news, and refute distorted viewpoints."

With a membership comprised of young civil servants, many of whom hold judicial positions, the youth of the Son La Procuracy have been affirming their pioneering role, courage, intelligence, and responsibility in revolutionary action movements, especially in the work of disseminating and educating about the law, protecting the ideological foundation of the Party, and combating hostile and erroneous viewpoints.

Mr. Vu Trung Hieu, Secretary of the Youth Union of the People's Procuracy of Region 1, Son La Province, shared: "We are promoting digital transformation in the work of disseminating and popularizing laws. We have built a legal information section on the Youth Union's website and Fanpage; proactively producing digital media products to spread official legal information in a relatable, lively way, suitable to the tastes of young people in the digital age."

Youth union branches under the Provincial Party Committee's Youth Union coordinated the organization of mock trials combined with legal education and awareness campaigns for union members and young people.

Maximizing the use of online space to spread positive values, the Youth Union encourages the application of digital technology, with 100% of its branches having Fanpages, attracting tens of thousands of followers. This helps to spread positive actions and exemplary behavior among young people, effectively shaping public opinion. Many digital communication campaigns have been implemented, creating a "green wave" of youth participation in major national events, such as: changing profile pictures to welcome the Party Congress at all levels; young voters focusing on the National Day; and activities celebrating major holidays and historical events.

Sharing her future directions, Ms. Luong Thi Hoa, Deputy Secretary in charge of the Youth Union, added: The Youth Union will continue to direct its branches to leverage the strengths of young people in applying information technology, using modern software as a tool to support, promptly detect, combat, and handle harmful, negative, and reactionary information on the Internet and social media; closely coordinate with press agencies, departments, and sectors to effectively organize training courses and workshops on using social media, recognizing and combating harmful information in the online environment.
