According to the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, from June 18-19, the Northern region will continue to experience hot weather , with some areas experiencing intense heat with maximum temperatures of 35-38 degrees Celsius, and some places exceeding 38 degrees Celsius. The area from Thanh Hoa to Phu Yen will experience exceptionally intense heat with temperatures of 36-38 degrees Celsius, and some places exceeding 39 degrees Celsius. The lowest relative humidity will be 50-60%.

The meteorological agency predicts that the heatwave in Northern Vietnam is likely to last until around June 21st; the area from Thanh Hoa to Phu Yen will experience it for several more days.

During hot days, in the late afternoon and evening, thunderstorms accompanied by tornadoes, lightning, hail, and strong gusts of wind are possible in Northern Vietnam and the mountainous areas of Central Vietnam.

For the Central Highlands and Southern Vietnam, there will be showers and thunderstorms this afternoon and evening, with localized moderate to heavy rain, with rainfall amounts of 20-40mm, and in some places over 70mm.
