From above, the ripe, golden rice fields appear like a watercolor painting amidst the mountains and forests. Next to them is National Highway 7, like a soft silk strip winding along the mountain ridges. This is also considered one of the largest rice fields in the whole commune. This crop, the whole Tam Thai commune planted 91.6 hectares, thanks to the use of new rice varieties and modern farming techniques (using machines in land preparation and harvesting), the average yield of the whole commune reached 63 quintals/ha. Photo: Tien Dong Because the distance from the village to the fields is often far, for convenience in sowing, tending and harvesting rice, people often build small camps near the fields to both rest and store rice when necessary.
