The Thuy Ta restaurant area, Ward 1, Da Lat City, Lam Dong Province, is one of two islands located within the Xuan Huong Lake scenic area.

This restaurant has a total area of ​​over 3,800m2, of which the covered building area is 383m2, the flowerbed area is 893m2, and the remaining grounds and yard area is nearly 2,600m2.

The Thuy Ta Restaurant boasts a prime location in the city of a thousand flowers. From here, visitors can enjoy panoramic views of the vast Xuan Huong Lake. The island-based structure (now the restaurant) was built by the French in 1930 to serve water sports activities such as swimming and boating.

Since 1975, Thuy Ta has been under the management of Lam Dong Tourism Joint Stock Company.

Recently, the People's Committee of Lam Dong province issued a decision approving the starting price for the auction of the right to lease the property on the land and the land itself for Thuy Ta restaurant.

The starting bid for this restaurant is over 3.6 billion VND per year, and the lease will be auctioned for 10 years, with annual payments. This includes a building rent of 378 million VND per year and a land lease of nearly 3.3 billion VND per year.

The People's Committee of Lam Dong province has assigned the People's Committee of Da Lat city to develop criteria, organize evaluation and scoring for selecting organizations to auction assets; supervise the asset auction process in accordance with regulations; and ensure transparency, openness, and high competitiveness to select the organization or individual with the highest bid, maximizing revenue for the state budget.

Currently, Thuy Ta Restaurant is located within the Xuan Huong Lake National Scenic Area and is one of the iconic landmarks of Da Lat city. It is an ideal destination for both domestic and international tourists.

According to the Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee, the Thuy Ta restaurant complex is expected to be put up for auction in 2024. The winning bidder must maintain the current state of the property.

Previously, at the end of October 2023, the Da Lat City People's Committee held an auction for the land plot of Thuy Ta restaurant with a starting price of over 3 billion VND/year.

After 63 bidding rounds, Mr. Doan Hai Ha (from Hanoi) won the auction for the right to lease this restaurant at a price of 15 billion VND per year, equivalent to more than 151 billion VND over 10 years.

However, on November 21, 2023, Mr. Doan Hai Ha submitted a notice stating that he would not invest in Thuy Ta restaurant, citing the reason that he was not allowed to change the restaurant's name. The businessman from Hanoi subsequently forfeited his deposit, and the Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee issued a decision to cancel the aforementioned auction results.
