The water pipeline system from the La Giang Water Plant (Duc Quang commune) to Truong Luu commune has to pass through many localities.
The centralized clean water supply system in Truong Luu commune has been approved by the Provincial People's Committee for adjustment and expansion from the La Giang Domestic Water Supply System Construction Project in Duc Tho district (formerly) to Truong Luu commune (June 2025). The project is invested by HT Thanh Trung Co., Ltd. ( Ha Tinh ) with a total implementation cost of 68.86 billion VND in Truong Luu commune.

Workers from the Central Vietnam Water Supply and Construction Joint Stock Company are installing service pipes in Yen Trang village.
To date, the project is 70% complete, and it is expected that in two weeks, the people of Truong Luu will have access to clean water. This is truly a long-awaited dream for the local residents. Mr. Tran Van Cam (Yen Trang village, Truong Luu commune) shared: “For a long time, we had to collect rainwater for drinking and cooking, while bathing, washing, and doing laundry had to be done using water from the village wells and drilled wells. Therefore, as soon as the construction unit arrived in the area, the villagers provided accommodation and cooked meals for them, hoping that the project would be completed soon and the people would have access to clean water.”

Sharing the same hopeful sentiment, Mr. Phan Hai Trieu (Kim Thinh village, Truong Luu commune) expressed: “We are very happy to soon have clean water to use. Using village wells and drilled wells was a necessity, but we were truly worried about it… Now, thanks to the attention of the local Party committee, government, and investors, the people will soon have access to clean water, escaping the situation of using it while constantly worrying.”

Mr. Nguyen Dinh Chieu – Director of the Central Vietnam Water Supply and Construction Joint Stock Company (the construction unit) said: "The project has a transmission pipe length of over 12,000m, of which over 11,000m have been connected and installed; the service pipe length is 52,000m, of which nearly 20,000m have been constructed. We are constructing in a phased manner, supplying water to each village as soon as it is completed. In about two weeks, the people of Yen Trang and Kim Thinh villages will have clean water to use. The unit has completed 70% of the project's volume and is concentrating all machinery, equipment, and personnel working day and night to accelerate progress, striving to supply clean water to all households in Truong Luu by August."
Despite facing certain difficulties during the project implementation, such as land clearance issues (the transmission pipeline system had to pass through many localities, running along National Highway 8 and National Highway 15 - areas with high traffic density...), unfavorable weather conditions, and increased material and labor costs, the project was completed on schedule thanks to the decisive involvement of the local government, the investor, the contractor, and the support of the people. Bringing centralized clean water into use aims to improve the health and quality of life for the people, as well as contribute to economic restructuring, job creation, and socio-economic development of the locality.
