Accordingly, the Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism instructed the specialized departments and units under the Department to urgently implement Official Dispatch No. 15/CĐ-PCTT,TKCN&PTDS dated August 22, 2025, of the Provincial Steering Committee for Disaster Prevention, Search and Rescue and Civil Defense; and Official Dispatch No. 12/CĐ-UBND dated August 23, 2025, of the People's Committee of Thanh Hoa province on focusing on responding to Typhoon No. 5 in 2025 to ensure the safety of lives and property under the unit's management and minimize damage that may be caused by the typhoon.
Heads of departments and units should closely monitor forecast information and developments regarding storms, rain, and floods; promptly review, update, and activate disaster response plans based on the "four on-the-spot" principle, appropriate to the risk level, realistic, ensuring synchronization, uniformity, flexibility, and avoiding passivity or surprise in all situations. Review and implement measures to ensure the safety of tourism activities (including tourists) by moving them to safe locations before and during the direct impact of the storm.
Maintain a strict 24/7 duty roster, promptly inform and report to the Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism (through the Department's Office) on the situation regarding the response to the storm and any damage occurring within the management scope of the department/unit during and after the storm (if any).
