Doctors and medical staff examine patients in Trieu Son commune.
The program provided free health check-ups, consultations, and medication to 420 people in Trieu Son commune, including 320 elderly people, people with disabilities, and people in difficult circumstances, and 100 children.
Residents will receive direct medical examinations from doctors and medical staff from major hospitals in Ho Chi Minh City through several basic and necessary health checks such as: measuring blood pressure, weight, height, blood sugar, ultrasound, and electrocardiogram (when indicated). After the examination, residents will be guided on disease prevention and treatment methods and will be given free medication.
In addition, the program also organized recreational activities for children and distributed gifts of essential supplies to people who came for medical examinations.
Pharmacists provide free medication to the people.
As part of the program, people also received information from doctors about common health problems during the transitional seasons and how to prevent them, such as cardiovascular diseases, high blood pressure, stroke, musculoskeletal disorders, as well as special precautions for pregnant women, children, and the elderly.
The Provincial Red Cross Society presented certificates to the collectives and individuals who contributed generously to the program.
The organizing committee provided 10 water heaters to families receiving social welfare benefits in Trieu Son commune.
On this occasion, the sponsors provided support of 500,000 VND per household to 10 disadvantaged households; donated 10 water heaters to 10 families receiving social welfare benefits; and donated 10 water heaters to the Sam Son Ethnic Minority Pre-University School.
The program is a meaningful activity, not only providing people with the opportunity to access healthcare services and improve their knowledge and understanding of their own health status, but also spreading warmth, connection, and love – instilling confidence and motivation for each family to be stronger on their journey of healthcare, towards a happy and sustainable life.
