"Health care festival" in Trieu Son commune

(Baothanhhoa.vn) - On the morning of August 23, in Trieu Son commune, the Provincial Red Cross Society (RCS) coordinated with the Department of Health, Hanh Phuc Media Joint Stock Company and Ariston Vietnam Company to organize the program "Health Care Festival".

The program organized health check-ups, consultations, and provided free medicine for 420 people in Trieu Son commune, including 320 elderly people, people with disabilities, people in difficult circumstances, and 100 children.

People will be directly examined by doctors from major hospitals in Ho Chi Minh City through many basic and necessary health check-ups such as: measuring blood pressure, weight, height, blood sugar, ultrasound, electrocardiogram (when indicated). After the examination, people will be instructed on disease prevention and treatment methods and given free medicine.

Along with that, the program also organizes fun activities for children and gives gifts of necessities to people coming for medical examination.

Within the framework of the program, people also received information from doctors about common health problems during the changing seasons and how to prevent them such as: cardiovascular disease, blood pressure, stroke, musculoskeletal diseases, as well as special notes for pregnant women, children and the elderly.

The Provincial Red Cross Association awarded certificates to groups and individuals who contributed with golden hearts to the program.

The organizing committee presented 10 hot water tanks to policy households in Trieu Son commune.

On this occasion, the sponsors gave support of 500,000 VND/household to 10 households in difficult circumstances; 10 hot water tanks to 10 policy households; and 10 hot water tanks to Sam Son Ethnic University Preparatory School.

The program is a meaningful activity, not only creating opportunities for people to access medical services, improve their knowledge and understand their health status, but also a place to spread warmth, connection and love - adding confidence and motivation for each family to be more steadfast on the journey of health care, towards a happy and sustainable life.
