Present early, Ms. Nguyen Thi Ngoc Huyen, Head of the Women's Association of Rach Ruong C Hamlet (Tran Van Thoi Commune), excitedly shared after completing her 27th voluntary blood donation: "I hope that every drop of my blood will reach the patients in need in time. Joining the Red Drops Club of Dat Mui from the Red Journey, I have many opportunities to grasp information about blood donation, thereby mobilizing more relatives and friends to join hands."
For medical students, this activity is both an opportunity to practice medical ethics and a chance to check health and detect potential diseases early.
Mr. Gia Thanh Vang, a bank security guard, also took the opportunity to donate blood for the 30th time before work. Mr. Vang confided: “Donating blood is good for your health and is a small way to contribute to the community. As long as you are in good health, anyone can participate.”
Before going to work, Mr. Gia Thanh Vang completed his 30th blood donation.
Ca Mau Medical College maintains the organization of voluntary blood donation twice a year, which has become an annual activity with profound humanitarian meaning. This year, the first round took place in June, collecting more than 150 units of blood.
Student Vo Nguyen Phuc, a member of the Club, shared: “As a medical student, I am honored to be able to donate my blood to patients. Participating in the organization also helps me practice medical ethics, learn how to give love to make society better.”

“Each time the activity is organized, it attracts the participation of about 400 students and lecturers of the school, thereby spreading the spirit of volunteerism and the noble act of donating blood to save lives. The program also has the meaning of educating medical ethics for students, helping them understand and love patients more, try to study, develop professional skills to do a good job of taking care of people's health when graduating", Mr. Le Minh Thoi, Secretary of the Youth Union of Ca Mau Medical College, shared.
At the end of the festival, the Organizing Committee received 250 units of blood. In addition, the school also maintains the activities of the Voluntary Blood Donation Club with more than 400 members, which is the core force in the mobilization and organization of blood donation.
