The election for village, hamlet, and neighborhood heads for the 2025-2027 term will be held simultaneously on December 15th, with the participation of over 315,200 voters in 1,452 villages, hamlets, and neighborhoods throughout the province .   This is a widespread democratic activity involving all levels of the population, to select and elect outstanding representatives in their residential areas. At this point, all preparations for the election in Quang Ninh have been completed, and voters and the people are ready and excited to welcome this great event in the locality.

Election preparations in villages and neighborhoods throughout Uong Bi City have been carried out with utmost urgency, seriousness, and thoroughness. All work has been completed, ensuring that the nationwide election day truly becomes a joyful and festive occasion.

According to Dao Ngoc Son, Head of the City Party Committee's Mass Mobilization Department and Chairman of the Uong Bi City Fatherland Front Committee: Voters and people in Uong Bi City highly appreciate and trust the candidates nominated for village and neighborhood head elections for the 2025-2027 term. 23 out of 99 villages and neighborhoods in the city have nominated new candidates, including some very young individuals, with one Party member only 22 years old, but who enjoy high trust and confidence from the people. From now until the election, the City Fatherland Front will continue to promote and launch a campaign to ensure 100% of cadres, union members, and association members participate in voting as exemplary role models and encourage voters and the public to vote at the highest possible rate, contributing to the overall success of the election. We are confident that 100% of polling stations will be completed early and in accordance with regulations, effectively selecting the most outstanding candidates.

Throughout the province, along main roads and in residential areas, flags and flowers are brightly decorated, creating a vibrant atmosphere in preparation for the nationwide election day. As the election day approaches, voters are increasingly eager to cast their ballots and choose individuals with political integrity and competence who are worthy of representing the people's aspirations and desires to elect village, hamlet, and neighborhood leaders.

Ms. Dinh Thi Yen (Dam Buon village, Dam Ha commune, Dam Ha district) shared: "Although my family's work requires us to spend many days at sea, thanks to the information disseminated by village officials, I, like other fishermen, have grasped the information about the election day. As responsible voters, we will arrange our time to vote on time as stipulated. We also hope that the elected village head for the 2025-2027 term will fulfill his role and responsibilities well, live up to the people's trust, and contribute to the further development of our village and commune."

To date, the province has 1,521 candidates for village, hamlet, and neighborhood head positions. Of these, 1,193 are re-elected, and 328 are new candidates. 1,383 out of 1,452 villages, hamlets, and neighborhoods nominated one candidate; 69 villages, hamlets, and neighborhoods nominated two candidates (mainly in Binh Lieu, Ha Long, Ban Che, and Cam Pha). The quality of the candidates for village, hamlet, and neighborhood head positions has improved. Among the candidates for the new term, 349 have a university degree or higher, and 418 have a secondary-level political theory certificate or higher. Localities have chosen and agreed on the election method, with 428 villages, hamlets, and neighborhoods opting for a show of hands vote and 1,024 villages, hamlets, and neighborhoods opting for a secret ballot.

According to Deputy Director of the Department of Internal Affairs Hoang Ba Huong: Up to this point, most aspects of election work, from the decision to organize the election, the establishment of polling stations, the list of candidates, the selection of election methods, to the compilation and posting of voter lists, have been implemented by localities ahead of schedule as stipulated in the Law on the Implementation of Democracy at the Grassroots Level and Government Decree No. 59/2023/ND-CP. Many localities have completed the decoration and ceremonial arrangements inside and outside the polling stations early, creating a festive atmosphere before election day, preparing ballot boxes, arranging signs, and setting up polling station entrances and exits, notably Mong Cai, Tien Yen, Hai Ha, and Dong Trieu… Currently, localities are continuing to intensify propaganda efforts, regularly monitoring the election situation in their areas, and promptly reporting and resolving any arising situations within their authority, ensuring the successful organization of election day throughout the province in accordance with the law. The entire province is ready for the election of village, hamlet, and neighborhood heads on December 15th.
