A new day in Yen Lang

On July 1st, 2025, Yen Lang commune was officially established through the merger of Lang Cong and Quang Yen communes. This also marks the beginning of a new day, a new opportunity, and a new era for Yen Lang... aiming to become a development center in the northeastern region of the province.

In recent days, the people of Yen Lang commune have been most concerned about how the administrative boundary merger will open up opportunities for local development; how the administrative apparatus will function; and whether carrying out administrative procedures will be more convenient for the people.

While registering her business, Ms. Nguyen Thi Phuong from Truong Xuan village happily stated: “The reorganization of administrative units and the implementation of a two-tiered local government model is a correct policy. Many intermediate procedures (at the old district level) have been eliminated, helping people resolve administrative procedures quickly and conveniently. With the core principle that the new two-tiered government apparatus is close to the people and deeply involved in the local area, we believe and expect that the thoughts and aspirations of the people will be listened to and addressed more thoroughly.”

Comrade Nguyen Chi Dung - Deputy Director of the Yen Lang Commune Public Administrative Service Center, said: After the merger, officials and employees of Yen Lang commune have started carrying out their duties with enthusiasm and a serious attitude..., ensuring that work is not interrupted, especially in handling administrative procedures for people and businesses.

To streamline administrative procedures and achieve high efficiency, the commune government has invested in renovating and repairing its headquarters, purchasing additional equipment, and selecting and assigning staff with suitable capabilities, solid expertise, and good communication skills. After the merger, the workload of the Commune Public Administrative Service Center increased significantly, but thanks to a systematic and scientific approach in organization, management, and direction, along with the enthusiasm and responsibility of officials, civil servants, and employees, the reception and resolution of work for the people and businesses have been carried out smoothly, efficiently, and in accordance with regulations.

The determination, enthusiasm, and renewed motivation to realize the aspiration of making Yen Lang a development center in the Northeast region of the province are not only demonstrated through the working style of the commune's officials but also concretized by the specific targets and tasks set at the Commune Party Congress for the 2025-2030 term: Total budget revenue reaching 200 billion VND by 2030; investment capital in the commune reaching 1,169 billion VND; the commune having no poor households according to the multidimensional poverty standard; completing the construction of advanced new rural areas...

Yen Lang commune is changing more and more.

Chairman of the People's Committee of Yen Lang Commune, Trieu Toan Tang, shared: To achieve the above goal, Yen Lang focuses on three breakthroughs: Streamlining the organizational structure and improving the effectiveness and efficiency of the political system; continuing to implement the Party and provincial policies on organizational restructuring and personnel reduction, coupled with innovation in leadership and management methods, to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the political system; strengthening administrative discipline and order, innovating working styles, focusing on tangible results and people's satisfaction; and building a team of capable officials and civil servants to perform their duties in the spirit of "Daring to think, daring to speak, daring to act, daring to take responsibility, daring to innovate, daring to face difficulties and challenges, and daring to act for the common good."

Strengthen general planning, detailed planning, urban center planning, and planning for small and medium-sized industrial clusters, handicrafts, tourism, and services in accordance with local conditions. Focus on removing difficulties, bottlenecks, and barriers, unlocking and effectively utilizing all resources, creating a transparent, equitable, and favorable business environment to promote the rapid and sustainable development of the private economy in accordance with the spirit of Resolution No. 68-NQ/TW of the Politburo; research and plan the development of small and medium-sized industrial clusters and high-tech agriculture. Promote the development and application of science, technology, and innovation in accordance with the spirit of Resolution No. 57-NQ/TW of the Politburo. Focus resources on building a synchronous socio-economic infrastructure, linked to the criteria for building advanced new rural areas. Mobilize and effectively utilize investment resources for the development of transportation infrastructure, infrastructure serving digital transformation, electricity, water, telecommunications, healthcare, education, culture, etc., according to the general plan. Ensure seamless connectivity between residential areas, industrial clusters - handicraft - tourism and service areas to develop socio-economic activities and form Level V urban centers. Maintain completed new rural criteria, continue to implement the construction of advanced and model new rural criteria, creating landscapes and improving the quality of life for people in a civilized, modern, and sustainable direction.

The commune, in coordination with relevant agencies, has done a good job in planning and building socio-economic infrastructure. Priority is given to planning the expansion of Provincial Road 307C, the section from the center of Tam Son commune (Provincial Road 307B) running through Yen Lang commune, connecting to National Highway 2C via Phu Luong commune (Tuyen Quang), in accordance with the integrated development plan for the northeastern region of the province, connecting the Vinh Yen - Tuyen Quang urban area and IC6 of the Noi Bai - Lao Cai expressway; expanding the Yen Lang - Hai Luu main road, and planning a new Yen Lang - Lap Thach route to serve eco-tourism development... Planning for two industrial clusters in the former two communes of Lang Cong and Quang Yen; and a tourism area in the Nui Sang - Ho Suoi Sai - Dong Dong - Thanh Cong region. At the same time, research is being conducted on solutions for the effective development of cooperative economics, policies to encourage the development of household economies, and the participation of private enterprises in various economic sectors.

Thanks to the efforts and determination of the Party committee, the government, and the unity of the people, the picture of a prosperous, civilized, and modern Yen Lang village is gradually becoming a reality in the near future.
