The program was held at the Nghe An Innovation Center, Vinh University, and connected online to Thanh Chuong 3 High School in Cat Ngan commune, along with 130 other locations in communes and wards throughout the province.
This activity is in response to Vietnam's Science, Technology and Innovation Day on May 18, 2026, and also concretizes the policy of promoting the development of science, technology, innovation and digital transformation according to Resolution No. 57-NQ/TW of the Politburo .
According to the Nghe An Department of Science and Technology, artificial intelligence is becoming a crucial foundation determining the competitiveness of nations. The Prime Minister's issuance of the National Strategy on Research, Development, and Application of Artificial Intelligence until 2030, along with the official entry into force of the Artificial Intelligence Law in March 2026, has created an important legal framework for localities to promote the application of AI in governance and socio -economic development.

In recent years, Nghe An province has focused on promoting digital transformation, modernizing the state administration, and building data infrastructure. However, according to assessments by relevant authorities, in addition to the legal framework, data, and application needs, the province needs to build a "human ecosystem" to promote AI development. This is also the basis for the establishment of the Nghe An Artificial Intelligence Community.
Speaking at the conference, Director of the Department of Science and Technology Nguyen Quy Linh said that the launch of the Nghe An Artificial Intelligence Community is just the beginning. In the coming time, the Community's Steering Committee needs to quickly finalize the organizational regulations, strengthen the specialized committees, and bring academic activities into order; at the same time, build an open data repository and implement projects to solve specific problems of the province.
The Director of the Department of Science and Technology also requested that departments, agencies, and the People's Committees of communes and wards proactively review and propose "commissioned problems" for the AI community and technology businesses to research solutions; and continue to promote digital skills training for officials and civil servants.

In addition, Nghe An hopes to continue receiving the support of the National Innovation Center, Google, VNPT Group, and research institutes and universities in providing resources, sharing technology platforms and international management experience for the province's technology ecosystem.
At the conference, representatives from the National Innovation Center presented a paper on AI training programs and human resource development to support digital transformation.

On this occasion, the leaders of the Provincial People's Committee presented flowers to congratulate the Department of Science and Technology on Vietnam Science and Technology Day; and congratulated the Founding Board and the Executive Board of the Nghe An Artificial Intelligence Community on its launch.
The establishment of the Community is expected to create an environment for connecting experts, businesses, management agencies, and young intellectuals; promote the application of AI in public administration, education, healthcare, and business production, contributing to accelerating digital transformation and socio-economic development of the province in the new phase.
