The "cheapest two-bedroom house in the world" in the US, only 1 USD

The New York Post reported that the two-bedroom house in Michigan was recently put up for sale. Notably, the price to own the house is only $1, making it possibly the cheapest two-bedroom house in the world .

The house is located about 30 miles from Detroit and has one bathroom. The listing on the real estate company Zillow's website reads: "Introducing the world's cheapest two-bedroom house in downtown Pontiac, Michigan. Priced at only $1 (yes, you read that right). It's not just a house, it's a ticket to a real estate adventure of a lifetime."

According to the New York Post , the house, which was previously sold for $4,092 in 2022, sits on a 70-square ^-meter lot.

Interior photos show scratched hardwood floors throughout, a bathtub and a kitchen. Outside the home is a garden overgrown with weeds.

Real estate agent Christopher Hubel said that although the house - built in 1956 - is priced at $1, it will cost the buyer about $20,000 to renovate, plus hiring a renovation company of $45,000.

“I’ve wanted to do this for years. An asset will always find real value in the market unless you overvalue it. This is an opportunity to show that,” said Hubel.
