Proud to be Vietnamese – proud of 80 years of Independence, Freedom, Happiness!

“Vietnam has the right to enjoy freedom and independence and in fact has become a free and independent country. The entire Vietnamese people are determined to devote all their spirit and strength, their lives and property to maintain that freedom and independence” - President Ho Chi Minh.

The declaration that resounded at Ba Dinh Square on September 2, 1945 opened an era of independence, freedom and happiness for the nation. It is an immortal milestone so that today, every Vietnamese person can proudly affirm: I am Vietnamese.

80 years later, the country has changed profoundly. From the ashes of war, Vietnam has risen strongly, achieving many great achievements in economy , culture, society, science and technology, affirming its increasingly high position in the international arena. The spirit of September 2 is still the source of strength that fosters the will to be self-reliant and the aspiration to rise of the entire nation.
