Ho Chi Minh City: Increase promotional goods, stimulate consumption on the occasion of September 2nd holiday

(HTV) - On the occasion of National Day, September 2, supermarket systems and shopping malls in Ho Chi Minh City increased their stock of goods by 30-40%, and launched a series of large incentive programs to stimulate consumption, stabilize prices and ensure the supply of essential goods for people.

On the occasion of National Day, September 2, supermarket chains in Ho Chi Minh City increased their stock of goods by 30-40% compared to normal days, and at the same time launched a series of large-scale promotional programs. The activities not only took place in central cities but also expanded to many provinces and cities to help people easily access quality goods at preferential prices.

Increase promotional goods, stimulate consumption on September 2nd holiday

The highlight of this occasion is the “Super Shock Price” program with more than 600 products and the form of “Buy 1 Get 1 Free”. In addition to stimulating shopping, promotional activities also contribute to honoring Vietnamese brands that have been associated with consumers for many generations.

WinMart system said all goods are strictly controlled from purchasing, supplying to distribution. WinEco clean vegetables meet GlobalGAP, VietGAP, Organic standards; while MEATDeli chilled meat is produced using European technology.

At the same time, the “City Sale 2025 Brand Promotion” event is taking place at many shopping malls and e-commerce platforms, lasting until September 7. The program brings together more than 500 domestic and international brands, with discounts of up to 80%. Businesses expect the number of customers to increase by 60-70% compared to normal days.

Along with stimulus programs, Ho Chi Minh City still maintains the market stabilization program as a key solution to ensure the supply of essential goods and keep prices stable, usually 5-10% lower than the market. In addition to preparing goods, management agencies also calculate import options or supplement alternative products to avoid price fluctuations.

Thanks to synchronous policies, purchasing power in the market during the September 2 holiday is forecast to grow positively, contributing to promoting the circulation of goods and creating more momentum for the City's economic growth.
