The tourism industry is thriving.
During the National Day holiday, VinWonders Nha Trang continued to maintain its position as the "number one destination" with tens of thousands of visitors each day. Spectacular shows such as the Tata Show, the "Legend of the Blue Sea" Stunt Show, and the Quintessence of Arts not only provided entertainment but also unique cultural experiences. In addition, the "Vietnamese Flavors" program, the Carnival parade, and the 3D projection of the national flag along with high-altitude fireworks created unforgettable moments for visitors.

On this occasion, the Theatre of Da Lat premiered its new play "Chum Show," a sophisticated artistic work that explores the essence of three cultural streams: the mystique of Champa, the free spirit of the Central Highlands, and the grace of the Kinh people. On the evening of August 31st, CaraWorld Cam Ranh shone brightly with the art program "I Love Vietnam," organized by KN Holdings Group in collaboration with the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism. The participation of renowned singers such as My Linh, Tung Duong, and Vo Ha Tram brought wonderful emotional moments to thousands of spectators. Meanwhile, Champa Island Nha Trang Resort organized the "Lantern Festival on the Cai River" with the theme "Wishing for Peace." The sight of hundreds of shimmering lanterns floating on the Cai River created a poetic and emotional scene… Particularly, on the evening of September 2nd, the Provincial People's Committee organized a special art program to commemorate the 80th anniversary of National Day at April 2nd Square (Nha Trang Ward) and April 16th Square (Dong Hai Ward). The highlight of the event was a 15-minute low-altitude fireworks display.

During the holiday period, tourist destinations welcomed 632,800 visitors, a 10.35% increase compared to the same period in 2024. VinWonders Nha Trang remained the most popular destination. Tours exploring the sea and islands of Nha Trang Bay were also very popular. Mr. Tran Van Phu, Head of Nha Trang Tourist Pier (under the Nha Trang Bay Management Board), said: “During the holiday, more than 21,000 visitors departed from the pier to take tours and visit attractions in Nha Trang Bay such as Bai Tranh Island, Con Se Tre Island, Bai Mini Beach… Besides domestic tourists, many Korean and Russian tourists also chose sea and island tours to explore the beauty of Nha Trang.” Popular attractions such as the Oceanographic Museum, Long Son Pagoda, Po Nagar Cham Towers, and Po Klong Garai Towers also attracted many visitors. According to Mr. Truong Si Hai Trinh, Deputy Head of the Information and Communication Department of the Institute of Oceanography, during the four-day holiday, approximately 20,000 visitors came to the Oceanographic Museum to visit and learn about marine biodiversity and Vietnam's sovereignty over its seas and islands.
Revenue increased significantly.
According to information from Cam Ranh International Airport, during the four-day holiday, the airport handled 566 takeoffs and landings (316 international and 250 domestic flights), an increase of approximately 30% compared to the same period in 2024. The total number of passengers handled by Cam Ranh International Airport during this period was 106,432 (an increase of approximately 35% compared to the same period last year). Besides passengers arriving by air and rail, a significant number of tourists also traveled to Khanh Hoa by road. Therefore, in the final days of the holiday, hotel occupancy rates in the province increased considerably.

According to a report from the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, during the four-day holiday (August 30th to September 2nd), accommodation establishments in the province welcomed 275,000 guests, an increase of 10.35% compared to the same period in 2024. This included over 68,000 international visitors, an increase of 47.6%, and 207,117 domestic visitors, an increase of 1.9%. The average occupancy rate of accommodation establishments was approximately 79.36%. Hotels and resorts in the Bai Dai, Doc Let, Binh Son - Ninh Chu, and Vinh Hy areas had occupancy rates of 80% or higher. The central areas of Nha Trang and Phan Rang wards had average occupancy rates of 60% or higher, with some hotels along Tran Phu beach road reaching around 70%. It is estimated that total revenue from tourism exceeded 963.5 billion VND, an increase of 27.4%.

According to Mr. Nguyen Van Hoa, Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, security and safety during this year's National Day holiday were ensured. Tourism businesses strictly complied with regulations on fire prevention and control, security and order, and food safety and hygiene. The tourist information station of the Khanh Hoa Investment, Trade and Tourism Promotion Center (located in Nha Trang coastal park) received several tourists, most of whom requested information about tourist attractions, entertainment venues, routes, and currency exchange points. While the number of tourists increased by only 10.35%, tourism revenue increased by 27.4%, indicating that Khanh Hoa's tourism is continuously improving in quality. This serves as a foundation for Khanh Hoa to elevate its tourism destination status.
