(Baothanhhoa.vn) - In the modern flow, each agricultural product is not simply the result of labor but it is a "messenger" carrying within it the story of the land, climate and production culture, and the daily life of local people. Therefore, more and more agricultural products "tell their own story", affirming their position in the domestic market and reaching out for export.

Hien Nhuan Production and Trading Company Limited registers QR Code for products to convey content and production process.

Ngoc Ho Guom litchi originated from Japan and was planted in the old Ngoc Lac district by Ho Guom - Song Am High-Tech Agriculture Company Limited in collaboration with the Institute of Agricultural Genetics since 2019. From 2023, Ngoc Ho Guom litchi will begin to be harvested and exported to many demanding markets, such as: Japan, the United Kingdom, the United States, Spain, Hong Kong... This is a great step forward affirming the quality and competitiveness of Thanh Hoa's agricultural products. This type of litchi has bright red fruit, juicy flesh, and a sweet and refreshing taste. What makes the difference is not only the flavor, but also the transparent journey, ensuring the technical standards of imported goods of the international market. Each litchi is not only sweet, but can also "tell" about its origin, growth and development process through the growing area code data. Mr. Le Minh Chau, a technical officer of Ho Guom - Song Am High-Tech Agriculture Company Limited, said: "The company has applied technical processes of organic standards, VietGAP... In which, production diary recording is strictly implemented. Thanks to that, just by scanning the QR code, all parameters about soil, water, climate, and care process will be clearly shown. Those "production stories" have become the passport for Ngoc Ho Guom litchi to reach far in the market".

As the owner of one of the most prestigious and long-standing agricultural production units in the market, Ms. Tong Thi Hien, Director of Hien Nhuan Production and Trading Company Limited (Dong Tien Ward) has been gradually innovating the way of introducing products. Ms. Hien said: "Instead of bringing products to introduce and sell directly, in recent years we have promoted products on the company's website and fanpage. However, that way of introducing only brings images but does not promote all the products. Therefore, through the digital platform, we have built a "story" for each product. Consumers only need to scan the QR code on each product to easily access detailed information, such as: origin, growing area, production process to preliminary processing, processing... Thereby, helping consumers easily check the production date, expiration date, and even sales addresses according to the company's consumption chain".

It is known that through product transparency, Hien Nhuan Production and Trading Company Limited has built dozens of product consumption chains with collective kitchens and supermarket systems in the province. On average, each month the company supplies the market with about 30 tons of vegetables, tubers, fruits, livestock and poultry meat; creating regular jobs for 10 workers.

Currently, along with the digitalization process in agriculture, relevant agencies of the province have built a system of information transparency, electronic traceability, using QR Code to manage the quality of agricultural products and food. Accordingly, as of August 2025, the whole province has 456 production and business establishments applying traceability stamps. Of which, 252/456 (accounting for 55.26%) establishments have OCOP products of the province with QR Code stamps or codes, barcodes. At the same time, every year, nearly 600,000 traceability stamps of agricultural products have been issued to units and entities. Through this, production entities can bring the story of the product into the process of promoting and consuming products through social networking platforms: Facebook, Zalo, Tiktok... and help producers connect directly with consumers. Through the transparent information system, with just a scan of the code, consumers can access the world of information and the individual story of each product.

Thanh Hoa province has built concentrated agricultural production areas, of which 1,125 hectares of 121 production areas have been granted growing area codes. Through QR Codes, brands and product packaging, from common agricultural products to new products of Thanh Hoa, are gradually learning how to "tell their own stories". That journey has been receiving investment, support and assistance from the province and the participation of the people to gradually form a modern agriculture. So that each agricultural product is not only a simple product but also a "cultural ambassador" carrying the story, identity, and tradition of a land, people and local culture.
