National Day September 2nd in the hearts of Nghe An people

Regardless of their origin, profession or age, every Nghe An resident carries within them a deep pride and love for their homeland. This sacred sentiment becomes even stronger as the country enters a major holiday: the 80th anniversary of the successful August Revolution (August 19, 1945 - August 19, 2025) and the National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam (September 2, 1945 - September 2, 2025).

With that meaning, Nghe An Newspaper and Radio and Television recorded the simple but emotional thoughts and sharing of the people on National Day.

Being present at the 80th National Day celebration, sitting under the red flag with yellow star fluttering in the historic Ba Dinh Square, I was truly moved and proud. This is a great honor that only happens once every 80 years that I will never forget. We – the wounded soldiers – have been cared for and looked after wholeheartedly by the Party and the State: from well-tailored military uniforms, thoughtful meals, and adequate medicine. That respect warmed our hearts, and we felt that our efforts and blood during the war years had been recognized by the Fatherland.

Happy for me, I feel more sorry for my fallen comrades, they did not have the chance to see the peaceful beauty of the country today.

The work of defending the country belongs to an entire generation. Our generation has fulfilled its duty. Now, the greatest wish is that the younger generation continue on that path: studying, training, building an increasingly prosperous country, maintaining the peace that our ancestors paid for with their blood. The future belongs to you – the ones who will lead Vietnam to rise, standing shoulder to shoulder with friends from all over the world.

For 40 years at sea, each trip to the sea is a special journey for us. But when entering the time before National Day, my crew and I have more emotions. We carefully hang the national flag in the most solemn position on the boat. For a long time, it has been a traditional cultural feature of fishermen, but when National Day comes, the flag seems to become more special, reminding us of our love for our homeland and national pride.

There were years when, on National Day, we set sail and celebrated the holiday right on the boat. When we turned on the radio and heard the National Anthem playing over the waves, we would rest our hands and listen in silence. At that moment, national pride spread strongly in everyone’s heart, like a solid support in the midst of a stormy sea.

Those moments of celebrating Independence Day in the middle of the ocean are unforgettable memories for many fishermen. And it is also those moments that remind us of the value of freedom, peace, responsibility, love for the homeland and the sacred value of each trip to the sea.

Remembering the past, when we were poor, we had to share a piece of meat during the holidays and Tet, which was precious. But now, workers like those in my company, not only get a salary and bonus, but also 12 days off with full pay each year, and this year's Independence Day, we also get gifts from the Party and the Government . In the workplace, not only do we have the care of the union, but the company's leaders also care about our mental and physical health, job stability, on-time salary payment, and higher salary increases than the State's regulations... Honestly speaking, with the above, we don't expect anything more.

As a FDI enterprise with Japanese capital, the company's leaders always appreciate the solidarity of the Vietnamese people in general and Nghe An workers in particular. They affirm that solidarity is the strength that helps Vietnam defeat the enemy, overcome difficulties, and achieve success. Because they want to promote that solidarity, the company's leaders have created conditions for us to participate in many collective activities, many competitions, and supported us in expressing our patriotism.

Joining the whole country in celebrating the 80th anniversary of National Day, as a worker, I feel my heart fluttering. I clearly feel the strength of solidarity from inside the factory to the community. I am so happy that that strength has a contribution, even if it is small, from workers like us.

I have never lived through the historic moment of 1945, but through books and documentaries, I understand the sacredness of that moment. Although I did not witness it with my own eyes, my love for my homeland still grew silently, nurtured through the teachings of my grandparents, parents, and teachers. Today's young generation is fortunate to not have to live in the midst of bombs and bullets, but the stories of heroes have given us more will. Although we are not from the same era, not in the same circumstances, we all share the same goal: to build an independent, peaceful, and happy Vietnam.

For me, September 2nd is not only a holiday, it is also a reminder to live responsibly, to study well so that I can contribute to my homeland in the future. Because of that thought, besides studying hard, I am working with my friends to create a tourism project for Nghe An, hoping to introduce the beauty of my homeland to more people.

I think that if every young person nurtures a dream and takes concrete action, our country will have many new “fires”. And when looking up at the red flag with a yellow star on Independence Day, millions of those fires will merge into one, illuminating the future of Vietnam.

These days, my company and I are fortunate to participate in a number of projects serving the important occasion of the National Day September 2nd of the country, such as providing LED screen systems, sound, and lighting at Ho Chi Minh Square (Nghe An) to 3D technology screens in Binh Duong, Hanoi, Hai Phong...

For me, these projects are not just technical or commercial products, but also an opportunity for myself and my colleagues to contribute to creating unique cultural and artistic spaces, where people share joy, happiness and national solidarity. The National Day reminds me of my entrepreneurial journey, of the challenges I have experienced, but it is also an opportunity to realize that every contribution – no matter how small or large – can spread joy, solidarity and national pride to the community.

Love for the country is also the motivation for our company and businesses in the province to maintain volunteer activities, towards the difficult areas of the province, especially support programs for people after storm No. 3. Every contribution, no matter how small, contributes to spreading joy and sharing, so that the joy of National Day is not only present in festivals but also spreads widely in community life.

During the days when the whole country was filled with flags and flowers to celebrate the 80th anniversary of National Day on September 2nd, from far away Japan, I was truly moved and proud when remembering Independence Day - the great festival of the nation.

National Day September 2 is not only a milestone in history, but also a "sacred thread" connecting Vietnamese people wherever they are. The image of the homeland, the red flag with a yellow star and Uncle Ho's reading of the Declaration of Independence are a source of energy for me to be more confident and determined to contribute even though I am far away from the Fatherland. That is also the reason why I initiated many volunteer activities through the SUNSHINE Golden Heart Fund, supporting students in flood-hit areas, accompanying people in difficult circumstances, contributing to spreading the spirit of "mutual love" of the Vietnamese people...

At the same time, special attention is paid to educating children so that they are imbued with the national spirit. No matter where they are, every Vietnamese person carries a Fatherland in their heart, and Independence Day is a day to remind themselves to live more worthy of the two words Vietnam.

These days, Hien Son seems to be more bustling. People are happily celebrating National Day September 2nd, every house and every street is filled with bright colors. Vegetable gardens and farms are also making efforts to provide and display fresh and clean agricultural products, both serving the needs of the community and bringing joy and warmth to the locality where they live.

National Day not only reminds us of the glorious history of the nation, but also gives us an opportunity to look back at our own efforts. For modern farmers, production and business are not only self-sufficient, but also an opportunity to create quality products, serve the community, contribute to building new rural areas and bring sustainable economic value.

That has motivated me to gradually build a 6,900m² high-tech farm, applying modern techniques to produce products that meet VietGAP standards (2023) and 3-star OCOP (2025). That achievement is a small pride for me and my family to contribute to the overall development of the local agricultural sector.

I believe that the farmers’ patriotism is clearly demonstrated in their daily labor efforts and production activities. In the coming time, together with local farmers, we will continue to expand the scale and improve the quality of production models, bringing clean and safe products to the community, while contributing to the sustainable development of our homeland.
