On the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the National Day of the Lao People's Democratic Republic (December 2, 1975 - December 2, 2025), on December 1-2, representatives of the Vietnamese Embassy in several countries including China, Indonesia, Cambodia and Germany visited and congratulated the Lao Embassy in the host country.
According to a VNA reporter in China, on December 1, in Beijing, Vietnamese Ambassador to China Pham Thanh Binh and his wife led a delegation from the Vietnamese Embassy to visit and congratulate the Lao Embassy.
Ambassador Pham Thanh Binh sent his warmest congratulations to Lao Ambassador to China Somphone Sichaleune, his wife and all staff of the Lao Embassy on the occasion of the great occasion of the Lao people and country; emphasizing that the founding of the Lao People's Democratic Republic is an important milestone, opening a new era for the Lao people.
The Ambassador expressed his appreciation for the achievements that Laos has made over the past 50 years and believed that under the leadership of the Lao People's Revolutionary Party, the Lao people will continue to reap even more success on the path of building an independent, peaceful , stable and prosperous country.
Ambassador Pham Thanh Binh emphasized that the 50th anniversary of the National Day of the Lao People's Democratic Republic is not only meaningful to the Lao people but also a common joy for the country and people of Vietnam; affirming that throughout history, the two Parties, two States and peoples of the two countries have always stood side by side, shared hardships and fought together for independence and freedom, thereby forming a great friendship, special solidarity and comprehensive cooperation between Vietnam and Laos.
The Ambassador affirmed that Vietnam will continue to accompany Laos in socio-economic development. On this occasion, Ambassador Pham Thanh Binh also expressed his thanks to Lao localities for supporting Vietnamese localities to overcome the damage caused by recent natural disasters.
Expressing his emotion at the sentiments and good wishes from the Vietnamese side, Lao Ambassador to China Somphone Sichaleune sincerely thanked the Party, State and People of Vietnam for always standing side by side with the Lao people, making an important contribution to the victory of the Lao revolution; affirming that the achievements Laos has made in recent times are due to the contributions and strong imprints of solidarity, sharing and sincere and righteous help from Vietnam.
The Lao Ambassador emphasized that the State visit to Laos, attending the 50th anniversary of Laos' National Day and co-chairing the high-level meeting between the Communist Party of Vietnam and the Lao People's Revolutionary Party by General Secretary To Lam and his wife is a vivid demonstration of the special and close relationship between the two countries; considering this a precious asset that needs to be preserved and nurtured.
Ambassador Somphone Sichaleune affirmed that Vietnam continues to be a great friend and loyal comrade who has been supporting Laos in building and developing the country today.
The two sides agreed to strengthen coordination and exchanges between the two countries' embassies in China to contribute to the overall development of Vietnam-Laos relations.

Also on December 1, Vietnamese Ambassador to Indonesia Ta Van Thong led a delegation of the Vietnamese Embassy and Vietnamese representative agencies in Indonesia to visit and congratulate the Lao Embassy.
According to VNA correspondent in Jakarta, at the meeting, Ambassador Ta Van Thong sent warm congratulations to Lao Ambassador to Indonesia Khamfeuang Phanthaxay, his wife and all officials and staff of the Lao Embassy on the important occasion of the Lao people and country; emphasizing that the founding of the Lao People's Democratic Republic is a special historical milestone, opening a new era for the development of the Lao people.
The Ambassador affirmed that throughout the process of struggle and development, the two Parties, States and Peoples of Vietnam and Laos have always stood side by side, shared joys and sorrows, and fought for the ideal of independence and freedom. It is this history that has created the great friendship, special solidarity and comprehensive cooperation between Vietnam and Laos.
Responding to the warm sentiments of the Vietnamese side, Lao Ambassador to Indonesia Khamfeuang Phanthaxay expressed his emotion and appreciation for the good sentiments of Vietnam; affirming that, in the 50-year journey of construction and development, Laos' achievements always bear the deep imprint of solidarity and sincere and wholehearted assistance from Vietnam.
Ambassador Khamfeuang Phanthaxay also emphasized the great significance of General Secretary To Lam's State visit to Laos, considering it a clear demonstration of the great friendship and special solidarity between the two Parties, States and Peoples.
On December 2, a delegation of the Vietnamese Embassy in the Kingdom of Cambodia led by Ambassador Nguyen Minh Vu visited the Lao Embassy in Phnom Penh to offer congratulations.
According to a VNA reporter in Phnom Penh, at the reception, Lao Ambassador to Cambodia Buakeo Phumvongsay expressed his joy and honor when General Secretary To Lam and his wife, along with the high-ranking Vietnamese delegation, attended the 50th anniversary of Laos' National Day, and expressed his gratitude to the Party, State and people of Vietnam for always showing their good feelings and sincere support to the country and people of Laos.

Ambassador Buakeo Phumvongsay emphasized that Vietnam and Laos are two close neighbors. The Communist Party of Vietnam and the Lao People's Revolutionary Party share the same origin as the Indochinese Communist Party, which was nurtured by President Ho Chi Minh, President Kaysone Phomvihane and President Souphanouvong.
Throughout the history of each country, since their founding, the two Parties have always been united together, leading the armies and people of the two countries "side by side," "sharing weal and woe," defeating the common enemy, achieving complete victory, liberating their respective nations; and at the same time working together to build and develop the country in the new situation.
Ambassador Buakeo Phumvongsay expressed his belief that the great friendship and cooperation between the two close neighboring countries will continue to be strengthened and developed to new heights.
In a friendly atmosphere, Ambassador Nguyen Minh Vu expressed his joy at Laos' successful organization of the 50th National Day Celebration in the capital Vientiane; and highly appreciated the achievements that the brotherly country of Laos has achieved over the past 50 years, as well as the strong development in all areas of relations between the two countries.
Ambassador Nguyen Minh Vu emphasized that adding the element of “strategic connection” in the relationship between the two countries in the new development era that the leaders of the two countries just agreed in Vientiane will create conditions for Vietnam and Laos to develop even more strongly in the coming time, meeting the wishes of the people of the two countries.
In that spirit, Ambassador Nguyen Minh Vu and the staff of the Vietnamese Embassy wish to continue to cooperate closely with the Lao Embassy, actively contributing to the great friendship, special solidarity and comprehensive cooperation between the two countries, as well as agreeing to regularly organize exchange programs to strengthen friendship, contributing to further enhancing the relationship between the two countries in the coming time.
In Germany, on December 2, Vietnamese Ambassador to Germany Nguyen Dac Thanh led a delegation from the Vietnamese Embassy to visit and congratulate Lao Ambassador to Germany Mayboua Xayavong.
According to a VNA reporter in Berlin, on behalf of the Vietnamese Embassy in Germany, Ambassador Nguyen Dac Thanh sent the warmest congratulations to the Lao Ambassador, his wife, and all staff of the Lao Embassy in Berlin on the occasion of the special and important holiday of the country and people of Laos.
The Ambassador expressed his appreciation for the historic achievements that Laos has made over the past 50 years, especially in the 40 years of implementing the renovation policy.
Ambassador Nguyen Dac Thanh emphasized that the State visit to Laos by General Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam To Lam and his wife, the visit to attend the meeting between the two Politburoes of Vietnam and Laos and the co-chairing of the 48th meeting of the Vietnam-Laos Intergovernmental Committee by Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh showed that Vietnam attaches special importance to the friendship, special solidarity and comprehensive strategic partnership between the two countries.
The Ambassador expressed his gratitude for the support of the Lao country and people for Vietnam, not only during the war for independence but also during the process of national construction and development. The Ambassador also thanked the Lao Embassy for its close coordination with the Vietnamese Embassy in Berlin.

Lao Ambassador Xayavong sincerely thanked the warm sentiments of Vietnamese friends in Berlin, as well as the sentiments of the Party, Government and people of Vietnam towards the country and people of Laos.
The Ambassador said that the successes that Laos has achieved over the past 50 years are partly the successes of the Vietnamese people. The Ambassador believes that the friendly relations between the two countries will continue to be strengthened, contributing to peace, stability and development in the region and the world./.
