On the evening of December 2, at Trung Vuong Theater (Da Nang), the People's Committee of Da Nang City coordinated with the Consulate General of the Russian Federation in Da Nang to organize an art exchange program to celebrate the 75th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Vietnam and the Russian Federation (1950-2025).
Attending the program were leaders and former leaders of central agencies, Military Region V; leaders of Da Nang city; representatives of departments, branches; diplomatic agencies and the Russian community living in the city.
The art program was organized by the City Union of Friendship Organizations in coordination with the Vietnam-Russia Friendship Association, Trung Vuong Theater and Da Nang College, with the participation of the Russian Federation Folk Art Troupe “Matryona Art” and Da Nang artists.
The show includes 19 performances, demonstrating the unique cultural features of the two nations, contributing to strengthening friendship and understanding between the Vietnamese and Russian people.
The event is part of a series of activities celebrating the 75th anniversary of the establishment of Vietnam-Russia diplomatic relations in Da Nang, contributing to strengthening the increasingly deep and effective cooperative relationship between the two countries.
Speaking at the opening ceremony, Vice Chairwoman of the Da Nang City People's Committee Nguyen Thi Anh Thi emphasized that on January 30, 1950, the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics was one of the first countries to recognize and establish diplomatic relations with Vietnam, creating an important foundation for Vietnam to affirm its international legal position and facilitate the struggle for independence and freedom.
Over the past 75 years, the Government and people of the former Soviet Union and the Russian Federation today have always given Vietnam their sincere support and assistance. The traditional friendship and comprehensive strategic partnership between the two countries continue to be consolidated and developed sustainably.
In Da Nang, Vietnam-Russia cooperation is promoted through effective coordination between the Consulate General of the Russian Federation and departments and branches, along with the activities of the Union of Friendship Organizations, the Vietnam-Russia Friendship Association of the city, a team of more than 600 members who have studied and worked in Russia and the Russian Language Department (University of Foreign Languages - Da Nang University). This is an important foundation to strengthen cooperation between Da Nang and localities of the Russian Federation in the new period.
Ms. Mizonova Maria Georgievna, Consul General of the Russian Federation in Da Nang, affirmed that cultural cooperation is an important spiritual foundation of the Russia-Vietnam Comprehensive Strategic Partnership; at the same time, she expressed her wish to continue promoting cooperation potential for the benefit of the two peoples and for peace and common prosperity./.
