A prime example is Ms. Hua Thi Kim Thanh (born in 1986), Deputy Principal of Hoa Lac Kindergarten, Tan Thanh Commune. Imbued with President Ho Chi Minh's philosophy of loving humanity and living responsibly for the community, from 2007 to the present, she has voluntarily donated blood 69 times, including whole blood and platelets. Most memorably, in February 2025, upon learning that a patient at the Huu Lung Regional Medical Center urgently needed a blood transfusion but the blood reserves were insufficient, she quickly donated blood, providing timely support to the patient and helping them overcome the critical situation.
Ms. Thanh said: "Learning from and following President Ho Chi Minh's example, I always think that meaningful things should start from simple things. Every time I donate blood, I hope to help patients overcome critical situations, to help a family save a loved one."
Not only is she actively involved in voluntary blood donation, but she is also exemplary and enthusiastic in humanitarian and charitable activities. For these contributions, she has been repeatedly commended and rewarded by various levels and sectors for her dedication to studying and following the ideology, ethics, and style of Ho Chi Minh .
Similarly, Ms. Tran Bich Thuan (born in 1955), from Chi Lang commune, is also a prime example of humanitarian and social welfare work at the grassroots level. Over the past five years, she has mobilized resources for humanitarian activities totaling over 4 billion VND to support housing construction for poor households, provide essential goods to elderly people living alone, and offer emergency assistance to those suffering from serious illnesses. In particular, she is always deeply involved in each specific situation. For cases of poor patients needing urgent assistance, she personally visits them to assess the situation and immediately calls for help, even at night, to ensure the patients have the funds for treatment. Ms. Thuan shared: "Through studying and following President Ho Chi Minh's example, I have come to understand that helping others doesn't require anything grand; what's important is doing it with sincerity and responsibility. When I see those in difficult circumstances receiving support and gaining more motivation to improve their lives, I feel that my efforts are truly meaningful."
Along with outstanding individuals, many organizations in the province are also actively spreading the spirit of compassion through practical actions for the community. Among them, Ngoc Lan International Multi-Specialty Clinic in Dong Kinh ward is one of the exemplary units actively participating in social welfare and humanitarian activities in the locality.
Ms. Ngoc Lan Huong, Chairwoman and Director of Thien Ngoc Lan Medical Company Limited, stated: "Following President Ho Chi Minh's example, we always recognize that the responsibility of a medical unit is not only to care for the health of the people but also to share with the community, especially those in difficult circumstances. From 2022 to the present, the clinic has coordinated and organized many programs for medical examinations, gift giving, health consultations, and free medicine distribution; participated in humanitarian and charitable programs launched by the local authorities and organizations… with a total social welfare expenditure of over 5.6 billion VND."
In recognition of these contributions, in 2025, the unit received a certificate of commendation in the emulation movement of studying and following the ideology, ethics, and style of Ho Chi Minh.
Over the past three years, according to statistics from the Provincial Red Cross Society, more than 210 outstanding individuals and groups have been awarded at the central and local levels for their positive contributions to humanitarian work. Whether individuals or groups, they all embody a spirit of responsibility, compassion, and dedication to the community, silently contributing through practical actions to spread love and positive values in society.
Ms. Nguyen Thu Hoai, Chairwoman of the Provincial Red Cross Society, stated: "In recent years, the study and emulation of Ho Chi Minh's ideology, ethics, and style in the province has become increasingly profound, linked to concrete actions in humanitarian and charitable work. Many individuals and groups have contributed with a sense of responsibility and compassion, overcoming difficulties to share with vulnerable people."
From the donation of blood to welfare activities at the grassroots level, these efforts are multiplying the spirit of mutual support and sharing in society. These are truly "beautiful flowers" in the humanitarian movement, contributing to the spread of humanistic values in the community.
