The postman who has kept readers' trust for 30 years.

Amidst the fast-paced modern life and its myriad new ways of accessing information, many readers, especially the elderly, still maintain the habit of reading print newspapers every morning. For them, the newspaper is not only a source of daily updated information but also a cultural aspect, a habit that has been cherished for many years.

Understanding this, Hanoi Post Office always prioritizes communication, instructing its postal workers to strictly adhere to the newspaper distribution work, ensuring that newspapers reach readers fully, on time, and in accordance with regulations. And among those who silently maintain this information bridge every day, Mr. Nguyen Van Cuong – a postal worker on the Chuong Duong – Ly Thai To delivery route of Hoan Kiem Post Office – is a prime example of responsibility and dedication to his profession.

Recently, Hanoi Post Office received a thank-you letter from reader Mai Duong to Mr. Nguyen Van Cuong. The simple yet sincere words expressed the customer's appreciation and trust in the postal worker who is always dedicated to his work.

Having been involved in the postal service for 30 years, from the very beginning of his career, Mr. Cuong worked in positions related to newspaper distribution. This long period of time allowed him to accumulate a wealth of experience, understand the specifics of the job, and grasp the psychology of each reader.

Sharing about his daily work, Mr. Cuong said: "Delivery work must be regular and consistent. Postal workers need to understand the information, needs, and psychology of each reader in order to serve them correctly, completely, and in the best way possible."

Every day, he distributes approximately 300 newspapers at nearly 20 locations, including offices and private residences. To avoid errors, he always carries a personal notebook to meticulously record the number of newspapers, their titles, and customer information, and obtains their signatures after successful delivery.

Postman Cuong's daily work begins very early each morning. As soon as he arrives at the post office, he counts the number of newspapers, sorts them by address, and prioritizes delivery before handling other products and services. He understands that many elderly readers eagerly anticipate holding a newspaper in their hands at the start of the day, a habit they can't do without.

That dedication has left many positive impressions on customers. In a thank-you letter sent to Hanoi Post Office, reader Mai Duong wrote:

“Postman Cuong is trusted and well-liked by the residents. I find his work ethic very responsible; I receive my newspapers every single day, which reassures readers. Whether it's sunny or rainy, the newspapers always reach readers on time...”

Words of encouragement and appreciation from customers are a great source of motivation for postal workers who silently perform their duties every day. Not only does he fulfill his professional duties, but Mr. Nguyen Van Cuong also spreads a positive image of dedicated, responsible, and wholeheartedly serving postal workers.

His example is a testament to the spirit of "Good People - Good Deeds" that is present every day within the Hanoi Post Office network, contributing to maintaining customer trust and loyalty to traditional postal services.
