Ha Tinh people increase income thanks to straw rolling machine

After harvesting rice, using a straw baler to collect straw is an optimal solution, not only contributing to environmental protection, but also increasing income for farmers. This method continues to be implemented in some localities in Ha Tinh .

Currently, in the districts of Can Loc, Thach Ha, Cam Xuyen... some households have invested in straw rolling machines to collect straw after the rice harvest. It not only cleans the fields but also increases income for farmers.

According to the machine owners, each hectare of rice after harvesting will collect about 180 - 200 rolls of straw. The collected straw will be sold to farm owners for livestock, gardening and cooperatives, mushroom production groups in need, at a price of 15,000 to 20,000 VND per roll.

In particular, using straw balers helps to quickly free up fields for timely summer-autumn crop production, limiting the burning of straw in the fields, causing environmental pollution./.
