Spelling error on Apple Vietnam's iPhone Air pre-order page.

Apple opened pre-orders for the iPhone 17 and iPhone Air in Vietnam on the evening of September 12th. Shortly after, many people discovered a spelling error on Apple's ordering page. Instead of the product name "iPhone Air," the website listed it as "iPhone Ải."

Users are seeing the error not only on the Apple website but also when ordering the iPhone Air through the Apple Store app.

Although it didn't affect the ordering process, the mistake still attracted attention. Screenshots of the spelling error were shared on social media and garnered a lot of interaction.

"Apple seems to have forgotten to turn off the Vietnamese Telex input method," and "That's hilarious" are some of the comments on Facebook.

Many commenters also suggested that this was Apple's way of deliberately attracting attention.

As of 8 PM that day, the spelling error was still present on Apple's order page. Because it was located at the top of the webpage, users could easily see it when accessing the site.

Apple has long cultivated an image of attention to detail, from hardware design and software interfaces to the shopping experience. While not a major issue, even a small spelling mistake in a product name can become a topic of significant attention.

This isn't the first time Apple has had problems with its marketing materials. Previously, the company had to edit a promotional image for the Liquid Glass interface on YouTube because the placement of the "Play" button formed a sensitive phrase.

The iPhone Air was launched by Apple on September 9th. It's the company's thinnest smartphone to date, measuring just 5.6 mm thick. The device features a 6.5-inch 120Hz display, an A19 Pro processor, a 48MP rear camera, a C1X modem, and Apple's own N1 chip.

The ultra-slim design also means the iPhone Air is the first Apple smartphone without a physical SIM slot across all versions, offering only eSIM options in all markets. The company also equipped it with a smaller battery than other models, although still emphasizing "all-day" battery life.

The iPhone Air is priced at 32 million VND in Vietnam for the 256GB version, with shipping starting September 19th. The remaining models available for sale on the evening of September 12th included the iPhone 17, iPhone 17 Pro, and 17 Pro Max. Reportedly, the orange iPhone 17 Pro Max quickly sold out on the Apple website within minutes of going on sale.

Details of the thinnest iPhone Air ever: The iPhone Air attracted all the attention when Apple introduced it at the same time as the iPhone 17 series, thanks to its unusually thin design.
