Apple opened pre-orders for the iPhone 17 and iPhone Air in Vietnam on the evening of September 12. Shortly after, many people discovered a spelling error on Apple's order page. Instead of the product name "iPhone Air", the website wrote "iPhone Ai".

Not only the Apple website, users also see errors when ordering iPhone Air on the Apple Store app.

Although it did not affect the ordering process, the error still attracted attention. A screenshot of the spelling error was shared on social media and attracted a lot of interactions.

“Apple seems to have forgotten to turn off Vietnamese Telex input”, “So funny” are some comments on Facebook.

Many comments also suggest that this is Apple's way of deliberately attracting attention.

As of 8 p.m. the same day, the spelling error was still present on Apple’s order page. Because it was located at the top of the website, users could easily see it when accessing it.

Apple has long built an image of paying attention to details from hardware design, software interface to shopping experience. Although not a big impact, small spelling errors in product names have become a topic that attracts a lot of attention.

This isn’t the first time Apple has had trouble with its marketing materials. Previously, the company had to edit a promotional image for its Liquid Glass interface on YouTube because the “Play” button’s position created a sensitive phrase.

The iPhone Air was launched by Apple on September 9. This is the company's thinnest smartphone ever, measuring 5.6 mm. The device has a 6.5-inch 120 Hz screen, an A19 Pro processor, a 48 MP rear camera, a C1X modem, and an N1 chip developed by Apple itself.

The ultra-thin design also means that the iPhone Air is the first Apple smartphone to not have a SIM slot on any version, only eSIM options on all markets. The company also equipped the battery with a lower capacity than the remaining models, although still emphasizing "all-day" usage.

The iPhone Air costs 32 million VND in Vietnam for 256 GB of storage, with deliveries starting September 19. The remaining models on sale on the evening of September 12 include the iPhone 17, iPhone 17 Pro, and 17 Pro Max. According to reports, the orange iPhone 17 Pro Max quickly sold out on Apple's website within minutes of going on sale.

Details of the thinnest iPhone Air ever The iPhone Air attracted all the attention when it was introduced by Apple at the same time as the iPhone 17 series, thanks to its unique ultra-thin design.
