In Tam Hiep 3 village, Hat Mon commune, when mentioning Ms. Le Thi Nga, many people speak of her with respect for the image of a dynamic and responsible woman who effectively develops her family's economy while also being dedicated to the Women's Union and community activities. Following the introduction by the Chairwoman of the Hat Mon Commune Women's Union, Trinh Thi Duyen, we visited Ms. Nga's family in a village with a thriving garment industry. Along the roads leading into the village, fashion shops are lined up side by side, and vehicles are constantly transporting raw materials and finished products for sale everywhere.
In her spacious home, Ms. Nga shared that, born and raised in a rural area with a tradition of garment making, her family, like many others, has been involved in the fashion clothing industry. Currently, her family's sewing workshop maintains stable operations with 7 workers, earning an average income of 8 to 10 million VND per person per month. A stable family economy not only allows her to provide well for her life but also enables her to dedicate more of her time and effort to charitable activities. For her, sharing with the community is not a temporary responsibility but a long-term journey of compassion.
Ms. Nga stated that she has been involved in charitable activities for many years. In particular, since 2013, she and several other women in the locality established the Tam Hiep Charitable Association and she has served as its president. Over 13 years of operation, the association has consistently upheld its principles and objectives, becoming a trusted source for supporting vulnerable people. “Each year, the Tam Hiep Charitable Association mobilizes resources worth approximately 500 million VND to support disadvantaged individuals both within and outside the locality. These funds are transformed into gifts, medical expenses, housing construction and renovation, scholarships for children, and timely relief efforts in disaster-stricken areas,” Ms. Nga said.

Recalling the period when the Covid-19 pandemic was at its most intense (2020-2022), Ms. Nga said that was the time when the association operated at its highest intensity. The association mobilized philanthropists and benefactors to provide financial support, essential supplies, medicine, disinfectant, food, and other necessities to quarantine centers, lockdown areas, and places severely affected by the pandemic. Furthermore, the association organized "rescue" efforts for agricultural products for farmers in the commune and neighboring areas, helping to mitigate losses due to disruptions in the distribution chain. Simultaneously, they organized fundraising activities to send cash and goods to people in flood-affected areas, demonstrating solidarity and mutual support during difficult times.

In recent years, the charitable activities of Ms. Nga and the members of the Tam Hiep Charity Association have continued to expand with many practical and long-term support models. In 2024 and 2025, the Tam Hiep Charity Association sponsored two orphaned children with a support of 6 million VND per child per year. Responding to the new rural development movement, the association also actively contributed to the locality by donating five sets of public stone benches, and regularly organized visits and gift-giving to policy beneficiary families and families in difficult circumstances during holidays and Tet (Lunar New Year). At the end of 2025, Ms. Nga and the Association provided financial support for the construction and repair of houses for five families with a total value of tens of millions of VND. During the Lunar New Year, the association distributed nearly 90 gift packages to needy families, helping many families have a warmer Tet holiday.
Entering 2026, this journey of sharing continues. Ms. Le Thi Nga and other philanthropists have called for support for many cases of serious illnesses in localities such as Phuc Tho commune, Dan Phuong commune, and Hat Mon commune itself. The gifts and support, while not of great material value, carry profound spiritual significance, giving hope to the patients and their families.
According to the assessment of the Chairwoman of the Hat Mon Commune Women's Union, Trinh Thi Duyen, "Ms. Le Thi Nga is a model member of the Tam Hiep 3 village Women's Union branch. She always actively participates in movements and campaigns launched by women's unions at all levels and the locality. Not only is she exemplary in complying with the Party's guidelines and the State's policies and laws, but she is also a role model of a modern woman: capable, building a happy family, developing the economy effectively, and making positive contributions to society."
What is admirable about Ms. Nga lies not only in the amount of support she has provided or the charitable programs she has undertaken, but also in her perseverance, dedication, and sense of responsibility towards the community. These quiet yet meaningful actions have contributed to spreading humanitarian values and fostering compassion in society. Amidst the hustle and bustle of modern life, Ms. Le Thi Nga's story is proof that kindness still exists, nurtured by ordinary people. And it is hearts like hers that are beautifying Hat Mon with practical and loving actions every day.
