Mr. Tran Tuan Anh donated blood voluntarily.
Meeting Mr. Tuan Anh at a voluntary blood donation event of the province, he was quite simple and approachable. He shared: “Donating blood is a humanitarian act. In the past, our ancestors were willing to sacrifice, not sparing their blood and bones to gain independence and freedom for the nation. Today's young generation lives in peace , so donating blood to sustain the lives of our compatriots is something that should be done and should be spread.”
Talking about the opportunity to volunteer blood donation, Mr. Tuan Anh shared that he learned about voluntary blood donation through the media and information channels. In 2015, he decided to donate blood for the first time. The feeling of excitement when entering the blood collection area, the warmth when receiving the encouraging smiles of volunteers, and the joy of knowing that his blood drops can bring a chance to live to patients have become the motivation for him to stick with the long-term volunteer journey.
From that first time, he regularly participated in blood donation campaigns organized by the locality and the province. After a period of blood donation, he became a member of the Provincial Voluntary Blood Donation Propaganda and Mobilization Club. Next, he joined the Thanh Red Drops Club and the Thanh ABO Blood and Platelet Club.
During his time at the club, he did not mind the rain or wind, and was always ready to donate blood at night when someone needed it. Not only did he donate whole blood, he also actively donated platelets. Up to now, he has donated blood 33 times, including 13 whole blood donations and 20 platelet donations.
Mr. Tran Tuan Anh said: “I join blood donation clubs to keep up to date with information about patients who need blood. When someone needs blood and is healthy enough, I always try to be there quickly to donate blood, hoping to contribute to timely treatment for the patient.”
From an individual who learned about blood donation through the media, Mr. Tuan Anh has become an active member, spreading the voluntary blood donation movement to the community. He has received many awards for voluntary blood donation. And even more honorably, in 2025, he received a Certificate of Merit from the Central Committee of the Vietnam Red Cross Society for his outstanding blood donation achievements. These awards are not only personal encouragement but also proof of the spirit of humanity and responsibility of a citizen to the community. His story also shows the practical effectiveness of propaganda work, when a humane message is properly conveyed, it can touch the heart, turn awareness into action, and from individual action develop into community strength.
Looking back on the past journey, Mr. Tuan Anh still maintains his humility and optimism. He believes that he is lucky to have good health, so in addition to donating blood voluntarily, he also participates in fundraising activities to support poor children, people in difficult circumstances or goes to flood areas, areas affected by natural disasters, and difficult areas to support people. Sharing about the next journey, Mr. Tran Tuan Anh affirms that as long as he is healthy enough, he will continue to be involved in the voluntary blood donation movement and humanitarian and charitable activities.
In the journey of spreading meaningful actions, the simple and quiet work of Mr. Tran Tuan Anh has been contributing to the building of a compassionate community, so that drops of blood of love continue to flow forever, prolonging life and faith for many people. At the same time, spreading the message of a young generation living responsibly, knowing how to share and act for the community.
