Viettel Thanh Hoa: Using boats to rescue information and stations
Storm No. 5 Kajiki has made landfall in the North Central region and severely affected Thanh Hoa province. With strong winds of level 9 to 11, widespread rainfall of 200 to 300mm lasting from August 25 to 26, many areas were deeply flooded, landslides and local isolation, posing great challenges for rescue work and ensuring communication.

In Cam Thuy, Tho Xuan and Ha Trung, many BTS stations were deeply submerged. Technical teams had to use boats to approach and move equipment out of the danger zone, while setting up temporary barriers and deploying pumps to minimize damage. In mountainous districts such as Ba Thuoc, Quan Hoa and Thuong Xuan, landslides, broken cables and the risk of flooding remained very high, forcing technical teams to be on duty 24/7.
From the night of August 25 to the morning of August 26, hundreds of officers and employees of Viettel Thanh Hoa stayed up all night to fix the problem, soldering each fiber optic cable in the rain, taking advantage of a boxed meal in the truck and then continuing the rescue. Thanks to that, the basic information network was still maintained to serve the direction of the government and the communication needs of the people.
Viettel Nghe An mobilizes 100% of its forces to urgently fix problems after the storm.
Immediately after the storm temporarily stopped, Viettel Nghe An mobilized 100% of its forces to urgently deploy rescue work and fix network problems after the storm. According to preliminary statistics, the storm caused heavy damage, disrupting services at many stations in the Vinh area. To quickly restore services, the technical team is urgently transporting generators to locations with power outages, determined to completely fix the problem as soon as possible.
Viettel Ha Tinh: 100% of male soldiers mobilized
From August 26, 100% of Viettel Ha Tinh's male troops were mobilized, ready to support when ordered. At the station, the generators were fully fueled and had backup, ensuring smooth operation.
The spirit of proactiveness and prevention was clearly demonstrated before the storm hit. "From noon on August 25, when the wind had not yet arrived, we supported the station owner in securing the house, using water bags to reinforce and prevent the roof from being blown off," said comrade Le The Anh, an employee of the Sales Operations Department, Viettel Ha Tinh Business Center, on duty at the station.

Despite facing the storm, the staff were still urgent but not shaken. With "real-life" experience from many previous storms, they all participated with the highest enthusiasm and initiative, determined to keep the "information bloodline" safe after the storm.
Proactively prevent natural disasters, many activities to support customers and people
As of 4pm on August 26, 100% of Viettel stores in the areas affected by storm No. 5 had resumed normal operations and were urgently repairing the damage. 248 free charging points were immediately set up to help customers stay connected after the storm.

Sharing the difficulties with people in natural disasters, Viettel Telecom Corporation has implemented many support policies: Before the storm, it implemented a 50% discount on card top-up value for 4 million customers in areas directly affected by the storm. On the evening of August 26, it added 20,000 VND to the accounts of 10,000 customers in areas deeply flooded and isolated by floodwaters. The account addition activities will be continuously updated to promptly support people to stay in touch during difficult times. On the morning of August 27, Viettel Telecom implemented a program to give away 50% of traffic to help more than 400,000 customers maintain communication when registering for the ST15K and 5G30 packages.
