Binh Son Refining and Petrochemical Joint Stock Company (BSR) said that Dung Quat Oil Refinery temporarily stopped operating for 48 days, from March 15.3 to May 1.5.2024, 5 to carry out the XNUMXth general maintenance.
To ensure the supply of petroleum to the market, on March 26.3, speaking with Lao Dong Newspaper, a representative of the Domestic Market Department (Ministry of Industry and Trade) said that the ministry had requested Dung Quat Oil Refinery to quickly implement plant maintenance, stabilizing production activities to supply petroleum to customers and the market as soon as possible.
At the same time, strictly implement the production plan registered with the Ministry of Industry and Trade, proactively supply gasoline and oil reserves according to regulations to ensure the supply of gasoline to key traders. Petroleum according to output and time agreed between the parties.
While Dung Quat Oil Refinery temporarily stops operating for maintenance, Nghi Son Oil Refinery will increase operating capacity, meeting the supply of gasoline to the market.
Talking to Lao Dong Newspaper reporters on March 25.3, Mr. Susumu Nibuya - Vice President of Idemitsu Kosan Company (Japan), a Japanese investor contributing 35% of capital at Nghi Son Refinery - said: "During the year Last time, we finished the maintenance. To ensure the continuity of petroleum supply to the domestic market and ensure national energy security, Vietnam Oil and Gas Group (Petrovietnam) has directed units involved in the petroleum supply chain within the group ensures petroleum supply as well as smooth distribution to the market.
According to BSR, when closing for the 5th general maintenance, Dung Quat Oil Refinery still has about 101.000 tons of crude oil raw materials in storage (20% of crude oil tank capacity).
