Stage 5 of the VGA Junior Tour has concluded amidst unexpected rain showers at Vinpearl Golf Hai Phong . The tournament champion, as well as the deserving winners of the top positions in each category, have been officially revealed.

The VGA Junior Tour 5th Leg - HNGA Junior Open 2023 has come to an end with the champion determined. With impressive scores of 71, 69, and 69 across the three rounds, Nguyen Dang Minh convincingly became the champion of Leg 5 of the VGA Junior Tour. Starting the first half with 3 birdies, Dang Minh maintained consistent form, finishing the leg bogey-free, with a total score of (-3).

Nguyen Dang Minh won the overall championship at the VGA Junior Tour Stage 5.

Nguyen Duc Son faced difficulties on the final day of competition, bogeyed his tee shot at the starting hole. Despite birdies on holes 6 and 9, the 16-year-old made three bogeys on holes 3, 16, and 17, resulting in a score of (+2) in the final race. His final score of 70-69-74 secured him the runner-up position in the U18 Men's category.

Doan Uy was the best performing player in the U18 Men's category today. After a warm-up with a birdie and an eagle on holes 4 and 5, Doan Uy unfortunately made two bogeys on holes 7 and 15. However, this didn't seem to faze the reigning VGA Junior Tour 1st Leg champion, as he quickly recovered with two birdies on holes 8 and 9. With a score of 73 - 72 - 69, Doan Uy finished third in the U18 Men's category.

In the U18 Girls' category, the competition for the top spot was incredibly intense as Ha Na Vuong and Nguyen Viet Gia Han both finished with a score of (+76) in today's round. According to the countback rule for the final 9 holes, Ha Na Vuong shot a total of 37 strokes and Nguyen Viet Gia Han a total of 39. Therefore, Ha Na Vuong officially claimed the U18 Girls' Championship title, and Nguyen Viet Gia Han was the runner-up. Ngo Thi Dieu Linh finished third with a total of 246 strokes (+30).

Do Duong Gia Minh maintained his consistent form, firmly holding the top spot after three days of intense competition. In the final round, Do Duong Gia Minh only managed three birdies, finishing with a score of 75 strokes (+3). Le Minh Nghia and Nguyen Trong Hoang both finished with (+13) strokes after three days of competition. However, in the final round, Nguyen Trong Hoang scored 74 strokes (+2) while Le Minh Nghia scored 76 strokes (+4). According to the countback rule, Nguyen Trong Hoang finished second and Le Minh Nghia finished third.

The top spot in the U12 Boys' category went to Nguyen Bao Phat with a total of 149 strokes (+5). Second place went to Nguyen Gia Khoi with 155 strokes (+11), and third place to Nguyen Van Hoa with 159 strokes (+15).

Nguyen Khanh Linh topped the U12 Girls' category with a total of 178 strokes (+13) over two rounds. Although Nguyen Phuong Quynh achieved the same total score after two rounds as Nguyen Khanh Linh, her difference of 6 strokes in today's competition put her in second place in the U12 Girls' category. Bui To Uyen finished third with a total of 212 strokes (+6).

Le Nhat Binh took the U9 category with an Even Par score after two days of dramatic competition. In the final round, Le Nhat Binh only made one bogey on hole 6 and recorded three birdies on holes 5, 7, and 12, achieving a total score of (-2). Starting the final round with an eagle on hole 11, Vo Ta Hoang Nguyen added two more birdies on holes 15 and 18. Finishing with two birdies on the return leg, Vo Ta Hoang Nguyen ended the day with a score of (-1). After two days of competition, Vo Ta Hoang Nguyen shot a total of 149 strokes (-1) and finished second overall.
