Stage 5 of the VGA Junior Tour ended with sudden rains on the Vinpearl Golf Hai Phong course . The champion of the tournament as well as the worthy owners of the highest positions in the official tables were revealed.

VGA Junior Tour 5th Leg - HNGA Junior Open 2023 has come to an end with the Champion title being determined. With impressive scores over three rounds of 71 - 69 - 69, Nguyen Dang Minh convincingly became the Champion of Leg 5 of the VGA Junior Tour. Starting the first half of the leg with 3 birdies, Dang Minh maintained a stable performance when finishing the leg with a bogey free, achieving a total of (-3) points.

Nguyen Dang Minh won the overall championship at VGA Junior Tour stage 5.

Nguyen Duc Son had a tough time on the final day of competition when he made a bogey on the starting hole. Despite making birdies on holes 6 and 9, the 16-year-old player made 3 bogeys on holes 3, 16, 17 and earned a +2 in the race to the finish line. The results of 70 - 69 - 74 helped Nguyen Duc Son become the runner-up of the U18 Men's group.

Doan Uy was the best player in the U18 Men's group in today's round. After a warm-up with 1 birdie and 1 eagle at holes 4 and 5, Doan Uy unfortunately had 2 bogeys at holes 7 and 15. It seemed that this did not make the reigning VGA Junior Tour 1st Leg Champion lose his composure as he quickly recovered with 2 birdies at holes 8 and 9. With the results of 73 - 72 - 69, Doan Uy ranked 3rd in the U18 Men's group.

In the U18 Women's group, the competition for the leading position was extremely tense when Ha Na Vuong and Nguyen Viet Gia Han both achieved (+76) in today's round. According to the countback rule of the last 9 holes, Ha Na Vuong scored a total of 37 strokes and Nguyen Viet Gia Han scored a total of 39. Therefore, Ha Na Vuong officially won the Champion title of the U18 Women's group and Nguyen Viet Gia Han was the runner-up of the U18 Women's group. Ranked 3rd was Ngo Thi Dieu Linh with a total of 246 strokes (+30)

Do Duong Gia Minh affirmed his stable performance when he firmly held the top position after 3 days of intense competition. In the final round, Do Duong Gia Minh only brought home 3 birdies and scored 75 strokes (+3). Le Minh Nghia and Nguyen Trong Hoang both scored (+13) strokes after 3 days of competition. However, in the final round, Nguyen Trong Hoang scored 74 strokes (+2) while Le Minh Nghia scored 76 strokes (+4). According to the countback rule, Nguyen Trong Hoang ranked second and Le Minh Nghia ranked third.

The highest position in the U12 Men's group belongs to Nguyen Bao Phat with a total of 149 strokes (+5). The second position in the U12 Men's group is Nguyen Gia Khoi with 155 strokes (+11) and the third position is Nguyen Van Hoa with 159 strokes (+15).

The top position of the U12 Women's group belongs to Nguyen Khanh Linh with a total of 178 strokes (+13) after two rounds. Although the total score after two rounds is equal to Nguyen Khanh Linh, but with a difference of 06 strokes in today's competition, Nguyen Phuong Quynh became the runner-up of the U12 Women's group. Third place is Bui To Uyen with a total of 212 strokes (+6).

Le Nhat Binh was named the champion of the U9 group with an Even Par score after two days of dramatic competition. In the final round, Le Nhat Binh only made 1 bogey at hole 6 and scored 3 birdies at holes 5, 7, 12, achieving a total score of (-2). Opening the final round with an eagle at hole 11, Vo Ta Hoang Nguyen "collected" 2 more birdies at holes 15 and 18. Finishing with 2 birdies on the way back, Vo Ta Hoang Nguyen finished today's competition with (-1) points. After 02 days of competition, Vo Ta Hoang Nguyen scored a total of 149 strokes (-1) and ranked 2nd overall.
