Giap Son Agricultural Production and Ecotourism Cooperative in Chao village, Giap Son commune (Luc Ngan) has more than 45 hectares of lychee that meet export standards. For many years, this has been an interesting place for domestic and international tourists to visit and explore. Ms. Truong Thi Bay, Director of Giap Son Agricultural and Eco- Tourism Production Cooperative said: “We have repaired the resting hut, the reception and dining area, the path to the garden and decorated it with flowers and ornamental plants around… Up to now, dozens of groups of visitors from inside and outside the province have come to experience, use the services and directly buy products in the garden. At the same time, we have enthusiastically worked as on-site tour guides, contributing to increasing income as well as the value of lychee.”
Since the beginning of the lychee harvest season, the Garden Viet Community Tourism Cooperative in Thanh Hai Ward (Chu Town) has connected and organized more than 10 domestic tourist groups to visit lychee and grape gardens in the area. According to Ms. Nguyen Thi Uyen, Deputy Director of the Cooperative, the experience tours are organized according to the community model, with flexible costs ranging from 150,000 to 350,000 VND/person depending on the service, route and destination. Recently, a group of more than 40 tourists from Hai Phong, Quang Ninh and Hanoi had a day of experience in the lychee garden in Nam Duong Commune.
Mr. Nguyen Van Kiem, a tourist from Quang Ninh province, said: “We just organized a university reunion combined with exploring the ripe lychee season in Chu town. Here, the class group was warmly and thoughtfully welcomed by the host. Everyone enjoyed learning about the production process, picking ripe lychees for free, taking souvenir photos, and when leaving, buying lychees as gifts for relatives.”
According to Ms. Phung Thi Lan, Director of Tru Huu Tourism Trade Cooperative (Chu town), in addition to domestic tourist groups, the Cooperative has just welcomed 45 guests from Japan. To ensure thoughtfulness, the travel agency had previously sent people to survey the garden house, dining locations and service bookings.
