Ms. Nguyen Thi Ly (Cau Giay Ward): Proud to be a daughter of our beloved capital city.
For Mrs. Nguyen Thi Ly, a woman born and raised in Hanoi , every October brings with it a mix of nostalgic and sacred emotions that are difficult to describe.
“I spent my childhood in the heart of the capital during the war years, followed by the difficult period of the subsidized economy. Memories of ration coupons, oil lamps, and sharing meals with my parents and relatives remain vivid. Despite the hardships, we always held onto our faith in the future.”

A radiant Hanoi – not only the heart of the country, but also a city worth living in.”
Although many difficulties and challenges still lie ahead, with unwavering faith in the unity, creativity, and resilience of the people of Hanoi, Ms. Ly believes: "Our capital city will surely rise strongly, walking hand in hand with the country into a new era - a period of prosperity, strength, and sustainable development."

Recalling that memorable moment more than 40 years ago, Mr. Luyet couldn't hide his emotion: "In 1984, I had the honor of participating in the activities commemorating the 30th anniversary of the liberation of Hanoi at Dong Kinh Nghia Thuc Square. The atmosphere of that day is still vivid in my memory - solemn, heroic, and full of spirit. It is one of the most profound memories of my life."
On the occasion of the 71st anniversary of the liberation of Hanoi and the welcoming of the 18th Congress of the Hanoi City Party Committee, Mr. Luyet expressed his belief in the future development of the capital city: "I believe that the City Party Committee will continue to formulate correct policies and decisions, creating strong momentum for Hanoi's comprehensive development, worthy of being a heroic, cultured, and modern capital city."
Teacher Ho Thi Huyen (Giang Vo Ward): Instilling patriotism through early life lessons.
"Whenever I think of October 10th, the Liberation Day of Hanoi, my first feeling is always one of pride and emotion," - that's the heartfelt sharing of Ms. Ho Thi Huyen, a young teacher at Thanh Cong Kindergarten, when talking about this important holiday of Hanoi.
Although born and raised in peacetime and not directly witnessing the historic moment of 1954, every time she hears stories and sees images of the troops marching to take over Hanoi amidst a sea of flags and flowers, her heart overflows with emotion and profound gratitude towards the generations of fathers and brothers who sacrificed themselves for the independence and freedom of the nation.

As a young person living and working in Hanoi, and moreover, a preschool teacher, Ms. Ho Thi Huyen is acutely aware of her role and responsibility in preserving and passing on traditional values to future generations: “As a preschool teacher, I always try to instill in the children a love for the capital city and national pride. On every October 10th, I often tell them simple but meaningful stories about the Liberation Day of Hanoi so they understand that the peaceful and happy life we enjoy today is the result of countless silent sacrifices from those who came before us.”
Ms. Do Ngoc Linh (Phu Thuong Ward): Showing gratitude to the past through actions today.
"As a young person, I have always deeply felt the sacred significance of the Liberation Day of Hanoi on October 10th," - this was the heartfelt sharing of Do Ngoc Linh, Party Committee member, Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front of Phu Thuong ward, and Secretary of the Phu Thuong Ward Youth Union, on the occasion of the 71st anniversary of the Liberation Day of Hanoi.
For Linh, October 10th is not only an occasion to reflect on the glorious history and remember the indomitable spirit of generations of ancestors who fell for independence and freedom, but also an opportunity for today's young generation to express their gratitude through concrete actions and clear responsibilities.

"We organized ceremonies to offer incense and light candles in gratitude at historical sites and revolutionary tradition houses in the ward, and met with and visited veterans, former youth volunteers, and families who contributed to the revolution - those who dedicated their youth to the Capital and the Fatherland," Linh shared.
Beyond commemorative activities, the youth of Phu Thuong are also striving to spread positive values through concrete actions. The "Youth Following Uncle Ho's Teachings - Good Deeds Every Day" movement has been widely launched, attracting union members and young people to participate in environmental sanitation, street decoration, maintaining urban landscapes, and spreading the image of young people living beautiful and useful lives.
In particular, to enhance the educational value and multimedia accessibility in the digital age, the Ward Youth Union has creatively produced digital media products - short videos about October 10th, recording memories through the narratives of historical witnesses, helping the younger generation to better understand and appreciate the value of peace today.
With belief, enthusiasm, and a spirit of innovation, Do Ngoc Linh affirmed: "That is also how I and the youth of Phu Thuong express our most sincere gratitude, through concrete actions, a sense of responsibility, and a desire to contribute. Today's young generation pledges to continue the glorious traditions of our forefathers, worthy of being the youth of Hanoi in the digital age - courageous, creative, and highly responsible to the community."

71 years after Liberation Day, each citizen of Hanoi today is a vibrant piece in the mosaic of a modern Hanoi that is still deeply rooted in tradition, integrating without being assimilated, developing without losing its identity.
Today's Hanoians, with their intelligence, courage, and profound pride, will continue to write new chapters in history, so that Hanoi is not only the heart of the nation, but also a livable, trustworthy city, worthy of the expectations of the past and the aspirations of the future.
