Regarding the Tran Hung Dao Bridge project, Vice Chairman of the Hanoi People's Committee Duong Duc Tuan said that the total investment for the construction of the Tran Hung Dao Bridge is nearly 16,000 billion VND. The project starts at the intersection of Tran Hung Dao - Tran Thanh Tong - Le Thanh Tong (in Cua Nam and Hai Ba Trung wards); the end point connects with Nguyen Son Street (in Long Bien and Bo De wards). The route length is nearly 4.2 km.

The main bridge is 870 m long, consisting of 6 spans divided into 2 bridges, each span is 145 m long; the steel arch structure has an infinity symbol. The two side approach bridges are about 1,150 m long, with a prestressed reinforced concrete box girder structure and hollow slab girder. The project is expected to be completed in 2027.

According to Mr. Tuan, the investment in the construction of Tran Hung Dao bridge plays an important role, promoting the urbanization process of the area, creating a premise for implementing the policy of population dispersion and reducing traffic pressure in the central urban area, in line with the country's development policy and orientation, connecting the main roads along the two banks of the Red River, contributing to reducing the load on Chuong Duong and Vinh Tuy bridges.

The project also contributes to gradually completing the capital's transport infrastructure network, developing modern urban spaces on both sides of the bridge, enhancing inter-regional transport connections between Hanoi and the eastern and northeastern provinces; at the same time, contributing to the city's socio -economic development, with the target of GDP growth in 2025 of 8% or more.

At the same time, develop a scientific, detailed, and appropriate construction plan and method to ensure efficiency, construction quality, and safe and smooth traffic organization.

According to the Hanoi Transport Development Plan approved by the Prime Minister, Hanoi will have 17 bridges across the Red River. Currently, 8 bridges have been built, including: Long Bien, Chuong Duong, Thanh Tri, Vinh Tuy phase 1, Vinh Tuy phase 2, Thang Long, Nhat Tan and Vinh Thinh bridges.
