Da Nang journalists organize football tournament to raise funds for disaster areas

The charity football tournament 'Circle of Love', initiated by the Da Nang Reporter Football Club, has raised more than 70 million VND to support people in mountainous areas affected by floods.

Danang Reporter Football Club (JFC Danang) has just organized a charity football tournament "Circle of Love", aiming to raise funds to help people in mountainous communes of Danang City who were heavily affected by the recent floods.

Accompanying JFC Danang are 3 guest teams, including: An Hai Ward People's Committee, Hoan My Hospital and Danang Construction CEO Association.

Playing impressively, Hoan My Hospital team won the championship; the home team JFC Danang won the runner-up position. An Hai Ward People's Committee ranked third; the style award was given to Danang Construction CEO Association.

Not only a sporting activity, the tournament is also an opportunity to connect and join hands towards the community. Besides the contributions of the football teams, many agencies, units and individuals have responded to the call of JFC Danang.

At the end of the tournament, the organizers raised more than 70 million VND. This November, the 4 football teams will coordinate to survey and implement a charity project for people who suffered heavy losses after the flood.

JFC Danang is a football team that gathers journalists, reporters, and editors working at many press agencies in Danang. Besides sports activities, JFC Danang stands out with volunteer programs associated with the social responsibility of journalists.

Over the years, the Club has organized and accompanied the Central Press Football Tournament, gathering more than 200 journalists from provinces and cities, while calling for resources to support people affected by natural disasters.

During the heavy rains and floods, JFC Danang mobilized nearly 3.1 billion VND and dozens of tons of rice to help people in the Central region, as well as donated funds to support people affected by storms, floods, and the Covid-19 epidemic...
