Ho Chi Minh City Women's Club enters AFC Champions League Women's quarterfinals

After a 2-0 victory over Lion City Sailors, Ho Chi Minh City Women's Club quickly won the right to enter the quarter-finals of the AFC Champions League Women's 2025-2026 one round early.

On the evening of November 16, Ho Chi Minh City Women's Club played the second match of Group A of the 2025-2026 AFC Champions League Women's. Their opponent was Lion City Sailors from Singapore, who lost 0-5 to Melbourne City.

The match was a tight affair throughout the first half without any goals being scored. Coach Doan Thi Kim Chi sent Tran Thi Thuy Trang to play from the start to support Huynh Nhu in the attack.

The match was extended by 15 minutes due to a Singaporean player needing medical assistance. However, no further goals were scored. The 2-0 victory went to the Ho Chi Minh City Women's Club.

This result helps HCMC Women's Club to quickly qualify for the quarter-finals as one of the 3 best second-placed teams. They have 6 points after 2 matches and have one match left to play on November 19.
