15-year-old player collapsed in HCMC women's victory

(NLDO) - Ho Chi Minh City Women's Club has secured a place in the quarterfinals, but the match on the evening of November 16 took place with a turning point from the collapse of a player from the team from Singapore.

In the 76th minute of the match between Ho Chi Minh City Women's Club and Lion City Sailors, Nur Ain Salleh (born in 2010) suddenly slowed down and collapsed on the field.

This injury forced the club's medical team to rush onto the field and fix the head and place an oxygen tank on the female player who is not yet 16 years old.

The ambulance even drove straight onto the field and quickly took the Singaporean female striker to the emergency room.

Faced with this situation, the HCM City strikers had difficulty against the opponent's solid defense. Huynh Nhu and his teammates created a number of opportunities but lacked luck in the first half.

Immediately after the match resumed after the Singaporean female player's injury, Bao Chau took advantage of the opponent's wavering spirit to open the score with a header. Before the end of the match, K'Thua scored the winning goal.

With the second win in Group A, Ho Chi Minh City Women's Club has 6 points and is almost certain to advance while Lion City Sailors and Stallion Laguna have no points.

In the final round of Group A on November 19, Ho Chi Minh City Women's Club and Melbourne City (Australia) will decide the first and second place in the group to advance to the quarter-finals of the 2025-2026 Asian Women's C1.
