According to Mr. Quang, at COP26, Vietnam committed to achieving net zero emissions by 2050 with the support of the international community. The Deputy Director of the Department of Climate Change also assessed the spirit and awareness of Vietnamese youth in the trend of green consumption and environmental protection actions, which are making an important contribution to the journey to achieve sustainable development goals by 2050.
The Green Vietnam Project, implemented by the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment in collaboration with Tuoi Tre Newspaper and PRO Vietnam, is a community-based communication initiative that connects resources to spread the spirit of green living and promote sustainable consumption nationwide. Accordingly, to promote the green consumption trend, many businesses participating in the exhibition at the Green Vietnam Festival 2025 have brought many spaces to experience and display green products.
At the festival, people participated in learning about more than 40 booths introducing green products and services from pioneering units and businesses in green transformation; along with many activities to experience green products, exchange recycled waste for gifts, games to learn about green products...
Within the framework of the Festival, a discussion on “Green consumption - sustainable development” took place. Experts provided useful knowledge and solutions to promote green consumption and encourage sustainable production models. Through the festival, the organizers called on agencies and organizations to continue to accompany and support green initiatives, create conditions for replicating green initiatives and models; businesses need to promote green production transformation; people should practice waste classification, save energy, prioritize green consumption and the young generation should be the pioneer in changing habits and spreading green lifestyles.
