Comrade Vuong Quoc Tuan was elected to the position of Chairman of the People's Committee of Thai Nguyen province.

On the morning of November 17th, Comrade Vuong Quoc Tuan, Alternate Member of the Central Committee of the Party and Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, was elected by the Thai Nguyen Provincial People's Council to the position of Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee.

Accordingly, at the eighth session of the Thai Nguyen Provincial People's Council ( 14th term, 2021-2026), Mr. Pham Hoang Son was relieved of his duties as Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee because he had been transferred, rotated, and appointed by the Party Central Committee to the position of Deputy Secretary of the Bac Ninh Provincial Party Committee.

The session proceeded to elect Comrade Vuong Quoc Tuan, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, as Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee for the 2021-2026 term with 100% of the delegates attending the session unanimously agreeing.

In his acceptance speech, the new Chairman of the People's Committee of Thai Nguyen province, Vuong Quoc Tuan, pledged to dedicate himself wholeheartedly to serving the interests of the people and the overall development of the province.

The comrade affirmed that he will always uphold principles, discipline, and order, and together with the members of the Provincial People's Committee, build a united and cohesive committee with a democratic spirit, focusing collective intelligence, while emphasizing the responsibility of each individual, acting decisively, creatively, and effectively, coordinating and supporting each other, building on the achievements, overcoming difficulties, and implementing synchronously the Resolutions of the Party Congress at all levels, the orientations and directives of the Central Committee, the Politburo , and the Secretariat in the new development phase to best fulfill the set development targets, with the focus on achieving and exceeding double-digit GRDP growth.

The rotation, transfer , and appointment of Comrade Vuong Quoc Tuan to the position of Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, and his nomination to the Thai Nguyen Provincial People's Council for election as Chairman of the Thai Nguyen Provincial People's Committee, is a concrete implementation of the Central Committee's policy that 100% of the Chairmen of the People's Committees of provinces and cities should not be from the local area.

Previously, on November 15th, the Thai Nguyen Provincial Party Committee held a conference to announce the Politburo's decision regarding Comrade Vuong Quoc Tuan, Alternate Member of the Central Committee of the Party, Deputy Secretary of the Bac Ninh Provincial Party Committee, and Chairman of the Bac Ninh Provincial People's Committee, ceasing his participation in the Bac Ninh Provincial Party Committee and Standing Committee; relinquishing his positions as Deputy Secretary of the Bac Ninh Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Bac Ninh Provincial People's Committee; and being transferred and appointed to the Thai Nguyen Provincial Party Committee and Standing Committee, and to the position of Deputy Secretary of the Thai Nguyen Provincial Party Committee, for the 2025-2030 term.

For the 2025-2030 term, Thai Nguyen province has set a target of achieving a gross provincial product (GDP) of VND 361.6 trillion by 2030, based on current prices. The economic structure will be: industry and construction 54.6%; services and product taxes less product subsidies 36.5%; agriculture, forestry, and fisheries 8.9%.

The average annual economic growth rate (GRDP) at constant prices is projected to be 10.5% or higher. GRDP per capita is expected to reach 220 million VND by 2030. The goal for the 2026-2030 period is for the digital economy's added value to contribute approximately 35% to Thai Nguyen province's GRDP...
