Comrade Vuong Quoc Tuan was elected to hold the position of Chairman of the People's Committee of Thai Nguyen province.

On the morning of November 17, comrade Vuong Quoc Tuan, alternate member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, was elected by the People's Council of Thai Nguyen province to hold the position of Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee.

Accordingly, at the 8th Session, the People's Council of Thai Nguyen province (term XIV), term 2021-2026, dismissed comrade Pham Hoang Son from the position of Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee because he was transferred, rotated, and appointed by the Secretariat to hold the position of Deputy Secretary of the Bac Ninh Provincial Party Committee.

The meeting elected comrade Vuong Quoc Tuan, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, to hold the position of Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee for the 2021-2026 term with 100% of delegates attending the meeting in agreement.

In his acceptance speech, the new Chairman of the People's Committee of Thai Nguyen province, Vuong Quoc Tuan, promised to wholeheartedly and wholeheartedly serve the interests of the people and the common development of the province.

He affirmed that he will always uphold principles, discipline, and order, and together with the members of the Provincial People's Committee, build a united, democratic, and collective intelligence Committee, while promoting the responsibility of each individual, acting decisively, creatively, effectively, coordinating, supporting each other, promoting the achieved results, overcoming difficulties, synchronously implementing the Resolutions of the Party Congresses at all levels, the orientations and directions of the Central Committee, the Politburo , and the Secretariat in the new development period to best complete the set development targets, focusing on GRDP growth reaching and exceeding double digits.

The rotation, transfer and appointment of comrade Vuong Quoc Tuan to hold the position of Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, and the introduction for the People's Council of Thai Nguyen province to elect him as Chairman of the People's Committee of Thai Nguyen province is the concretization of the Central Government's policy that 100% of Chairmen of the People's Committees of provinces and cities are not local people.

Previously, on November 15, the Thai Nguyen Provincial Party Committee held a conference to announce the Politburo's Decision on comrade Vuong Quoc Tuan, alternate member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Committee of Bac Ninh province, ceasing to participate in the Executive Committee, Standing Committee of the Bac Ninh Provincial Party Committee; ceasing to hold the position of Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Committee of Bac Ninh province; transferring and appointing him to participate in the Executive Committee, Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee and holding the position of Deputy Secretary of the Thai Nguyen Provincial Party Committee, term 2025-2030.

In the 2025-2030 term, Thai Nguyen province has set a target of reaching 361.6 trillion VND in the total product in the area at current prices by 2030. Economic structure: industry and construction 54.6%; services and product taxes minus product subsidies 36.5%; agriculture, forestry and fishery 8.9%.
