Mr. Vo Tan Truc, Chairman of the People's Committee of Yang Mao Commune, said that heavy rains had caused landslides on many sections of Provincial Road 12, isolating hundreds of households in some villages. Local authorities are continuing to review and count the damage, evacuate households in areas at risk of landslides to safe places, and set up warning lines to prevent people from returning to dangerous areas.

Faced with the complicated weather conditions, the Cu Pui Commune authorities quickly deployed response measures. Chairman of the Cu Pui Commune People's Committee, Huynh Duy Trung, said that the locality promptly coordinated with the Board of Directors of Hoa Phong Secondary School to urgently move all equipment, documents and teaching aids to a safe area.

On November 17, some educational institutions closed their schools. The organization of teaching and learning in the following days will be based on the actual situation in the locality. Localities will strengthen the connection and information sharing through social networking groups to ensure absolute safety for teachers and students.

To proactively respond to floods, flash floods, landslides and localized inundation, the Department of Education and Training has also issued a document requesting the People's Committees of communes and wards (to direct educational institutions in the area) and units under the Department to proactively respond to floods. Prepare plans to evacuate students and teachers to safe places; move documents and equipment to safe locations before storms and floods. Proactively coordinate with local authorities to receive support in terms of expertise, materials and equipment when situations arise.
