
Speaking at the ceremony, Deputy Prime Minister Le Thanh Long sent his best wishes to generations of teachers and students of the school. In order for the school to have new steps of development, the Deputy Prime Minister requested the school's Board of Directors to continue to fundamentally and comprehensively innovate education and training to meet the requirements of industrialization and modernization of the country; pay attention to training human resources, fostering talents, contributing to bringing Vietnam on par with the world powers as Uncle Ho always wished. The school needs to continue to coordinate with local Party committees and authorities to create conditions for students to study in the best environment.
The Deputy Prime Minister hopes that, promoting the 50-year tradition, following the previous generations, the entire Board of Directors, teachers and students will strive to build the school to become more and more developed, striving to be among the leading group in education quality in the country by 2030.

Established in 1975 (formerly Town 2 High School), overcoming many difficulties, Ham Rong High School has united, competed to teach well, study well and truly become a cradle of talent. Many former students of the school have become scientists , were awarded the title of Professor, Associate Professor, many have held key leadership positions at all levels of the Party and State, are teachers, artists, successful businessmen. After 50 years of construction and development, with the desire to rise, the School has written a proud journey, becoming a bright spot of Thanh education, listed in the list of non-specialized high schools with the best educational quality nationwide.
Since 2000, the school has undergone a comprehensive change in both its facilities and teaching methods. Nearly 60% of the teaching staff have master’s degrees, and many former students have returned to teach, contributing to spreading the tradition of “Good teachers – good students”.
The school constantly expands international cooperation, organizes exchanges with students from Japan, Korea, Singapore, France..., helping students practice foreign languages, integration skills and aspirations to reach out to the world. In the past 5 years, 100% of high school graduates, most of them are admitted to universities, many are valedictorians and salutatorians of top schools nationwide. For many consecutive years, the school has been in the top 100 high schools with the highest university entrance exam results in the country, affirming its position and solid quality in the education sector of Thanh Hoa...
With its achievements, Ham Rong High School was honored to be awarded the First Class Labor Medal in 2015, the Second Class Labor Medal in 2009, the Third Class Labor Medal in 2002 and many other noble awards...

On this occasion, Deputy Prime Minister Le Thanh Long presented gifts to the school and awarded 30 scholarships to students. With its achievements in teaching and learning, Ham Rong High School also received a Certificate of Merit from the Minister of Education and Training.
After the ceremony, Deputy Prime Minister Le Thanh Long and delegates performed the ribbon-cutting ceremony and visited the STEM classroom at the school.
* On the same day, Deputy Prime Minister Le Thanh Long and his delegation attended the inauguration ceremony of the STEM education practice room sponsored by the National Energy Industry Group at Lam Son High School for the Gifted (Thanh Hoa).

The Deputy Prime Minister congratulated the school on its achievements and hoped that the staff, teachers and students would continue to promote tradition, solidarity, efforts and strive to constantly improve the quality of teaching and learning.
The STEM education practice room at Lam Son High School for the Gifted is the largest of the 100 classrooms that the Vietnam National Energy Industry Group has supported for schools across the country. The room is large in scale and has many modern facilities, making it a very meaningful gift with the goal of creating a smooth combination between learning and practice.

The Deputy Prime Minister believes that teachers and students of the school will use and preserve the equipment well; promote the full functionality of the equipment, combine theory with practice in teaching and learning, thereby continuously improving the quality of education at the school, worthy of the trust and expectations of Party committees at all levels, authorities and people of all walks of life.
On this occasion, the Deputy Prime Minister and representatives of the Vietnam National Energy Industry Group presented many meaningful gifts to Lam Son High School for the Gifted; awarded scholarships to students with high academic achievements and students with difficult circumstances who have made great efforts in their studies.

The STEM education practice room at Lam Son High School for the Gifted was deployed and completed within 3 months (from August to November 2025) with a total cost of 3.3 billion VND sponsored by Ca Mau Petroleum Fertilizer Joint Stock Company (PVCFC), a member of the Vietnam National Energy Industry Group.
The STEM classroom is designed in a modern, synchronous and flexible direction, an open space for students to research, experiment, create and develop interdisciplinary scientific projects. The project is not only a step forward in terms of facilities, but also opens up a new learning model, helping students connect knowledge and practice, research and creation, contributing to the realization of the goal of building a modern, humane and future-connected educational environment...
