Previously, Binh Thuan Irrigation Works Exploitation Company Limited - Tuy Phong Branch announced the opening operation and increased water flow regulation through the spillway of Long Song reservoir starting at 2:00 p.m. on November 16, 2025.

According to the Lam Dong Provincial Hydrometeorological Station, in the coming hours, the areas of Vinh Hao, Tuy Phong and Lien Huong communes are likely to experience showers, along with the risk of widespread heavy rain. At the same time, the basins of reservoirs are forecast to continue to have moderate to heavy rain, causing the amount of water flowing into the reservoirs to increase rapidly and possibly increase the overflow flow in the coming time.

Therefore, to proactively prevent and combat natural disasters and ensure the safety of reservoir works, Binh Thuan KTCTTL One Member Co., Ltd. will increase the water flow discharged through Long Song reservoir spillway with a flow rate of 50 - ^100m3 /s and is expected to continue to increase depending on the amount of water coming to the reservoir.

The People's Committee of Lien Huong commune requested the Civil Defense Committee, the Executive Boards of villages, cooperatives and cooperative groups in the area to proactively announce widely through the radio system and local information channels, so that people, boats and vehicles passing through the discharge area can have timely safety plans. At the same time, people should be aware of the risk of rising river and stream water when heavy rain occurs in the downstream area, in order to limit damage.
