The program will screen three films about Hanoi through many historical periods. Specifically, on October 8, the feature film "North of the Capital" directed by Huy Thanh will be shown. On October 9, the feature film "Long Thanh Cam Gia Ca" directed by Dao Ba Son will be shown.

Vietnam Film Institute organized the event "Vietnamese Film Days" at Ngoc Khanh Theater (Hanoi).

The feature film "Hanoi 12 Days and Nights" directed by People's Artist Bui Dinh Hac, was shown on October 10, on the occasion of the 71st anniversary of the Capital's Liberation Day. With a duration of more than 2 hours, "Hanoi 12 Days and Nights" emotionally recreates the "Dien Bien Phu in the Air" battle at the end of December 1972, when the Hanoi army and people bravely confronted the US B-52 raid, contributing to the signing of the Paris Agreement, bringing peace to the North. The screening attracted nearly 350 audiences, filling all the seats at Ngoc Khanh Theater.

Many people in the capital go to Ngoc Khanh cinema to watch movies for free.

After watching the movie "Hanoi 12 Days and Nights", Ms. Pham Thi Huong (a resident of the capital) shared: "I am very moved and sympathize with our people. War is cruel and painful, not only in our country but also in the world . Thank you for the great contributions of our ancestors in bringing peace. We will always be grateful for the contributions of those who sacrificed so that Hanoi, our country, can be peaceful and stable like today."

Young people excitedly recorded moments at Ngoc Khanh cinema when coming to watch free movies.

Student Nguyen Hoang Lan Anh (Hanoi National University of Education) shared: “I am very happy to have the opportunity to participate in special occasions like this. This is the third war film I have watched this year. I feel proud and grateful to live in a time of peace. I hope the Vietnam Film Institute will organize more meaningful programs like this.”

The free film screenings of the Vietnam Film Institute aim to create a space for the public to review the heroic traditions of the capital, while also arousing national pride among young people.
