Travel + Leisure has just released a list of the 25 most suitable international destinations for solo travelers, based on four criteria: safety, accessibility, friendliness of residents and cultural and natural experiences. According to the magazine, solo travel gives travelers the freedom to travel at will, understand themselves better and deeply explore local identity.
Ranked 5th on the list, Vietnam is considered a country rich in adventure elements, possessing spectacular landscapes and a tourism environment friendly to solo travelers.
Among them, the tour to explore Son Doong - the world's largest natural cave - is mentioned as a symbol of the adventurous spirit. The multi-day journey through dense forests, stalactites, and giant sinkholes brings physical and emotional challenges to solo travelers.

For those who love water journeys, Ha Long Bay - Bai Tu Long is suggested thanks to its turquoise waters, peaceful scenery and less crowds. This is an ideal choice for slow trips, to find tranquility.
Hoi An continues to be a highlight in the Central region. On full moon nights, the ancient town is lit up by hundreds of lanterns on the Thu Bon River, creating a sparkling moment that Travel + Leisure describes as “overwhelming”, especially suitable for solo travelers who want to preserve peaceful emotions.

The magazine presents Ho Chi Minh City as a dynamic and accessible place for solo travelers, from street food at Ben Thanh Market to historical attractions like the War Remnants Museum or Cu Chi Tunnels.
In the North, Hanoi has a completely different character: quiet, ancient and multi-layered culture. The Old Quarter, museums, walks around Hoan Kiem Lake… all bring a sense of relaxation to visitors who want to enjoy a slow pace of life.
Vietnam is highly rated by Travel + Leisure for its rare balance: reasonable costs, diverse experiences, good safety levels and increasingly convenient transport infrastructure. The magazine commented: "Vietnam offers endless adventure and cuisine that can awaken all the senses."
Topping the rankings is Thailand, followed by Albania, Costa Rica and Germany.
