All levels, sectors and organizations have carried out many activities in propaganda work, organized training courses for cadres working in family affairs at the grassroots level to deploy solutions to promote information, education and communication in family affairs and prevention and control of domestic violence to contribute to preventing and reducing the rate of domestic violence. The whole province has established and maintained 226 models of preventing and controlling domestic violence; 275 sustainable family clubs; 443 groups for preventing and controlling domestic violence; over 681 trusted addresses in the community. Clubs and groups for preventing and controlling domestic violence maintain regular activities once a quarter, in addition to organizing activities integrated into meetings of villages, sub-areas, residential groups; discussions on International Women's Day March 8; Vietnamese Women's Day October 20.

The models put into operation have propagated, prevented and promptly resolved when there are acts of domestic violence or risks of domestic violence occurring in the area, contributing to changing people's awareness, attitudes and behaviors, forming awareness of preventing and combating domestic violence, providing people with knowledge to compete in building cultural families, building equal, progressive and happy families, conflicts in the family are resolved satisfactorily; 100% of households participating in club activities have no cases of domestic violence, no children dropping out of school, wandering, raising awareness of all classes of people in educating ethics, lifestyle, good behavior in the family, contributing to building a "warm, equal, progressive, happy and sustainable development" family, ensuring political security, social order and safety.
Along with the model deployed by the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, other departments, branches and sectors also organized many family-related models in accordance with the functions and tasks of each sector. Women's Unions at all levels have focused on organizing activities to enhance the capacity to deploy and maintain core activities and models such as the "Trusted Address" model, "Leadership Club of Change", and Community Communication Team to equip participants with necessary knowledge and skills, and at the same time allow individuals to share experiences and solutions, contributing to solving urgent problems for women and children, effectively promoting the role and participation of prestigious people in the community and village chiefs in propaganda and mobilization to raise awareness among people. In addition, many communication campaigns have been organized in the communes benefiting from the Project to promote gender equality and prevent domestic violence. Up to now, the whole province has established 715 community communication teams with 7,477 members including both men and women, partly demonstrating the change in men's awareness and actions, aiming to contribute to eliminating gender prejudices and stereotypes in the family and community, harmful cultural practices and some urgent social issues for women and children.
With the close attention and direction of Party committees, authorities, localities, the active participation and support of relevant departments, branches, sectors, organizations and the positive response of the masses, family work; domestic violence prevention and control in Son La province has been increasingly effective, creating a strong change in awareness and raising the responsibility of Party committees, authorities, sectors from the province to the grassroots; families, communities and the whole society in violence prevention and control. Activities to disseminate and educate the law on the Law on Domestic Violence Prevention and Control, the Law on Gender Equality, the Law on Marriage and Family, and the Law on Children are regularly carried out at the grassroots level. Activities in response to the International Day of Happiness March 20, Vietnamese Family Day June 28, National Action Month on Domestic Violence Prevention and Control (June), Action Month for Children (June), International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women and Girls November 25... are widely carried out from the provincial to grassroots levels with many diverse forms, suitable for each target group and actual situation such as: Visual propaganda and agitation on mass media; organizing competitions, seminars, thematic talks, releasing communication products; propaganda on local radio systems; through meetings of groups, groups, community consultations, at home, mediation groups, groups for preventing and combating domestic violence; propaganda on mass media, through a system of billboards, posters, banners, flags, slogans; Develop news, articles, reports, good people and good deeds, broadcast on Son La Provincial Newspaper and Radio and Television. Improve the quality of propaganda about the Law on Prevention and Control of Domestic Violence and sub-law documents to the people, helping people understand the role of the family and the significance of implementing the work of preventing and controlling domestic violence.
The Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism has done a good job of advising, coordinating, guiding and directing the implementation of family work in the whole province in conjunction with the Movement "All people unite to build a cultural life". Strengthening consulting activities, disseminating knowledge on family life education, organizing professional training courses for staff directly involved in family work and participating in the work of preventing and combating domestic violence at all levels; Training to improve skills in maintaining and organizing activities of the Sustainable Family Development Club and the Domestic Violence Prevention Group such as: Organizing a training conference to improve skills in maintaining and organizing activities of the Sustainable Family Development Club and the Domestic Violence Prevention Group in Tuong Phu commune, Phu Yen district in 2023. Organizing a training conference to improve capacity for family work officers of villages, sub-regions and cultural and social officials of communes and towns in Bac Yen district in 2023. Organizing a training conference on family work and domestic violence prevention in 2022 and 2024.
At the same time, closely coordinate with relevant departments, branches and units to participate in training and capacity building for the team of reporters and legal propagandists; Compile and distribute books and leaflets with many propaganda contents on the Law on Prevention and Control of Domestic Violence; The set of criteria for family conduct, building a culture of family conduct, preventing and combating domestic violence. Compile 2,723 copies of the Q&A document on the Law on Prevention and Control of Domestic Violence and Decree No. 76/2023/ND-CP dated November 1, 2023 of the Government detailing a number of articles of the Law on Prevention and Control of Domestic Violence, distributed to communes, wards, hamlets, sub-regions and residential groups to strengthen the propaganda and dissemination of the Party's guidelines and the State's laws and policies, contributing to raising the responsibility of all levels, branches, families, communities and the whole society in the work of preventing and combating domestic violence; Aiming to build a prosperous, progressive, happy, civilized family, as a foundation for building a happy community; compiling 2,000 communication documents on family work and preventing and combating domestic violence; 2,200 brochures to propagate behavioral criteria in the family; 16,900 leaflets to propagate and combat violence against women and children; 1,740 copies of the Guidebook on organizing activities of the Sustainable Family Development Club distributed to the Cultural Houses of villages, sub-areas, and residential groups; Sustainable Family Development Clubs; Domestic Violence Prevention and Combat Groups; Cultural Houses of communes and wards; Models of domestic violence prevention and combat in the province.
Deploying models to prevent and combat domestic violence in the area not only contributes to reducing violence, protecting the safety and happiness of each family, but also creates a spread of humanistic values, building a civilized lifestyle in the community. The effectiveness of the models is clearly demonstrated through raising awareness, changing people's behavior, promoting the spirit of solidarity and responsibility of organizations, unions and local authorities. This is a solid foundation for building a prosperous, progressive and happy family, contributing to maintaining social order and promoting sustainable development of the locality.
