Netflix has just released the documentary "Le bus, les Bleus en grève," which recreates the Knysna scandal that plunged French football into its biggest crisis in history at the 2010 World Cup in South Africa.

The film centers around the famous French national team training strike on June 20, 2010, in protest against the decision to drop Nicolas Anelka from the squad following a heated argument with coach Domenech after the 0-2 defeat to Mexico.

In the film, Domenech publicly reveals for the first time his personal diary entries, which he kept throughout the World Cup. These entries quickly caused a sensation in France.

The former France national team coach called Thierry Henry "arrogant," described Yoann Gourcuff as "an idiot," and bluntly called Anelka "a fool."

Domenech also couldn't hide his helplessness in the face of the chaotic atmosphere in the French dressing room at the time. After the players' strike, he wrote in his diary: "That was the best collective act you guys have done at this World Cup. A perfect suicide."

The film also features Patrice Evra, who was then the captain of the French national team. Evra recounts how many players approached him to speak with Domenech because they felt the team was losing direction.

According to the former Manchester United defender, Domenech once became enraged and threatened to "send Gourcuff to the guillotine" when he received feedback on tactical matters.

Evra admitted that many French players at the time believed the team was "heading straight towards disaster."

Notably, both Domenech and Evra asserted that they did not directly hear Anelka insulting the head coach, contrary to media reports that appeared in 2010.

For his part, Anelka continues to deny the accusation of insulting Domenech. The former French striker insists he did have arguments with the head coach, but never called him a "bastard".
