In the chilly weather, in every classroom and corner of the schoolyard, students eagerly prepare activities to express their gratitude to their teachers with all their hearts. They compete in their studies, hoping to present their teachers with flowers of good grades, in return for the teachers' hard work and love in teaching and guiding them. They actively participate in the emulation movements organized by the school's Youth Union and the Student Council, creating a lively and warm atmosphere to make their teachers happier on Teachers' Day.

According to Mr. Nguyen Van Thao, the head of the Youth Union at Le Quy Don Secondary School in Rach Gia Ward, to celebrate Vietnamese Teachers' Day on November 20th this year, the school's Youth Union is organizing a greeting card design competition for students in grades 6 and 7, and a paper flower making competition for students in grades 8 and 9. They are also holding an English public speaking competition for students of all grades.

For three consecutive years, Le Kieu Bao Ngoc, a student in class 9/1, has participated in competitions celebrating Vietnamese Teachers' Day organized by the Le Quy Don Secondary School's Student Union. Bao Ngoc shared: “I am very happy to participate in these competitions because it's an opportunity for me to express my feelings and best wishes to my teachers. I am grateful that my teachers are always dedicated to imparting knowledge, good things, and right principles so that I can become a better person.”

Each artwork contains its own unique idea and meaning, but all aim to convey a message to their teachers: that the students always cherish and are grateful for their guidance and teaching that has helped them grow day by day. Mr. Luong Van Thuan, an art teacher at Le Quy Don Junior High School, shared: “Reading the students' wishes, I feel happy because I sense the sincere affection they have for me and the other teachers in the school. I always hope that they will be well-behaved and study hard.”

In recent days, Nguyen Trung Truc 1 High School in Rach Gia Ward has been bustling with activities celebrating Vietnamese Teachers' Day, such as a competition to make flower pins for 12th-grade students; a greeting card making competition for 11th-grade students; decorating desk flower vases for 10th-grade students; and a painting competition with the theme "Remembering the gratitude to teachers"... In a spirit of frugality, and to acknowledge the students' appreciation, the school uses the students' entries from the November 20th competitions on school holidays.

Tran Tieu Xuan, a student in class 11A1 at Nguyen Trung Truc 1 High School, shared that she was very happy to complete the beautiful greeting card with sincere wishes to express her gratitude to her teachers on Vietnamese Teachers' Day, November 20th. "Through this competition, I wanted to express my deep gratitude to my teachers, because they always teach us good things and right principles in our studies and lives," Tieu Xuan shared.

The lapel pins, inspired by snowflakes and the Moon Goddess, worn by students of class 12A1 left a deep impression. Ho Hoang Thanh Uyen, a student from class 12A1, shared: “Snowflakes evoke images of our teachers’ graying hair – a symbol of their dedication over the years, as well as the familiar and meaningful image of chalk dust in the teaching profession. The decorative bow, inspired by the Moon Goddess with her gentleness, soft light, and the soft glow of the moon, symbolizes our teachers, who silently guide us to maturity.”

Mr. Thai Hoang Tan, Secretary of the Youth Union of Nguyen Trung Truc 1 High School, shared: “The sincere feelings of the students conveyed through their wishes left a deep impression on the teachers, creating motivation for them to strive harder every day. These competitions are not only an opportunity for students to express their gratitude but also a bridge to connect teachers and students, contributing to building a more friendly and happy learning environment.”

In the chilly weather, teachers are warmed by the deep and pure love of generations of students. Each student expresses their gratitude in their own way, but all wish to show their appreciation to their teachers and continue on the noble journey of "nurturing future generations."
